There was SO much excitement in NYC 1997-98. Parcells United the City and the suburbs fans. Giants fans like me were Parcells and Bellichik fans because 86-90 was such great times. We ALL got together for the 1998 Playoff games we wanted our friends and cousins to taste triumph.
He’s one of the greatest coaches in any sport. Never been fired, went to four really bad teams and almost instantly turned them into winners. But what he did with the Jets didn’t seem possible. The 1996 Jets were about as pitiful as a team could get, just painful for their fans to have to watch. And in one year, he leads them to a winning season, only missing out on the playoffs through a tiebreaker with Miami and a little bad luck.
@@johnselwitz5362 The 1983 Giants Parcells took over weren't actually 'bad', the 81 Giants won a playoff game against defending NFC Champs. Parcells was D coordinator promoted from within, kept a lot of the same folks in place, including Off Coordinator Erhardt. Of the "Ernhardt-Perkins" language of offense 2001-2021 NE: Charlie Weiss, Bill O brien and Josh McDaniels. Parcells coordinated the D and that was a mistake...because when he put Bellichik in charge in 85, the Big Blue Wrecking Crew emerged. Parcells could now keep an eye on everything, similar to Bellichik the attention to detail is his genius. NFL Films show us at every stop, he's talking to guys at every position one on one, he's telling everyone how to do things right.
Mo Lewis, the man who brought the Brady era earlier then it would have happened. Im not blaming Mo, Brady didn't get to top 5 for 3 years. Since Mo Lewis played till 2003, he had FIVE opportunities to end a Brady season by collapsing a lung lolol.
Agreed, although I didn't seriously watch line play until 2012 downloading files using shift arrow VLC to rewind 2-3 seconds, I can't actually judge the man's play. BUT if you play Tackle for a SB champ 1990 Giants, where the RBs ate and Hostetler was able to engineer 20 points, Then keep making pro bowls for a decade you must be great.
@@jeremydavidson9194 Agreed. I love the classics they wore in 09-10 that resembles the 1968 Namath guarantee team that won it all. By Running the ball. The 90's Jets uniforms, to me as a kid giants fan, looked like a substandard look for a substandard squad.
Shit I realized after the fact this wasn't the 98 Season, thats here: ruclips.net/video/O8-niJ6Q6bc/видео.html...Still, a Parcells team IS fun to watch. Unlike the Parcells Patriots, Bill Bellichik was in from the get go. From 29th D in 96 to 6th place in 97.
I was so happy that after several losing seasons the jets finally were in playoff contention this year..I remember it vividly as a kid.

Ian Eagle’s only year as radio voice of the New York Jets on WFAN
Bill Parcells was MAGIC

My 2 Favorite Jets of all time: Mo Lewis & Wayne Chrebet

Maybe I'm a homer but if Mo Lewis was a Giant we're talking Hall of Fame
Jumbo Elliott deserves serious consideration for the hall of fame!

For the love of god bring those early 90’s uniforms back.
No. No. No. Have you no taste? The '98 uniforms were the best.

Thank you! Just match the helmets and it's perfection
@@WalterWhiteFootballSharingthis nostalgic even as Packers fan lmao
This was a year of improvement
Great turn around season... but they should've made the playoffs.. they blew it down the stretch

3 years after the marino spike
And now they have those abominations they’re wearing….either one of these uniforms are better than what they have now
J! E! T! S! JETS! JETS! JETS!
