Also the clone X-24 is a mirror of what they wanted Wolverine to be a weapon and not what he became so he’s battling his old self. The original comic “Old Man Logan” is this storyline but doesn’t have this adaptation but it was an amazing tribute to Hugh Jackman in X-Men franchise movies and Hugh Jackman announced retirement when this movie came out but Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman made a dream come true collab in the new Deadpool & Wolverine!
Tbh, I can't remember anything about the first x-men movies (other than I mostly liked them) and I still loved Logan. I just ignore the lore I can't remember
@@MariaLoozerIt’s more just the emotional connection that you miss if you haven’t kept up all these years. I feel like this hits harder if you’ve grown up with Wolverine. Especially Professor X.
It makes no sense, no emotional attachment to the characters whatsoever and no knowledgeof many plotpoints and character reasons. It's like watching the endgame without watching any of the previous movies This just proves reactors don't care about their work, they just follow the hype, ruining a franchise/movie for yourself like this just because of hype..? Yea, can't understand it. This is a masterpiece that needs context to be as heartbreaking and good as it is. Without the context, none of the tension between doc x and wolverine exists, also no tension between x and his need of helping Laura is known. It's just empty.
Brother went out like the legend he is The Wolverine. The X-Men. Grown men wept at this one, master piece indeed. Turning the cross into an X breaks me every time.
I wouldn’t have started with this movie if you haven’t watched the X men movies. It won’t have the reaction value without you understanding the relationships and history of these characters…. I did see you mentioned you will watch them down the road, but still. Thank you though. I cried like a baby at the end! ❤️
Probably the best of anything the mutant cinematic universe has produced. Best Wolverine for sure, They knew EXACTLY what they were doing edging out the violence in that first scene. Wolverine and the X-men had previously always been more family friendly bordering Young Adult type of violence and strife. Then all at once he’s punch stabbing into peoples heads and chopping off limbs. The gasp that went through the theater.
Caliban was done a bit dirty in this movie, I understand why as it fit the story better, but in the comics he is so much more powerful and could have killed everyone in this movie with ease.
@@lynni_111 yeah I seen it not gonna spoil anything for you but I definitely would like to see more of X-23/Laura see her take his mantle like she was suppose to after the Logan movie showing her life after his dead building up to it but Disney canceled it now that she in the mcu we can see it possibly and the actor is open to it
Logan being your first wolverine movie is kind of a mistake. It won't have to same impact as watching as watching all the x men movies and some of his solo's. But still a good watch.
Fun Fact 2: During a questionnaire, director James Mangold was asked if this film was inspired by the game Last of Us. Because James knew nothing of the game, he went out and played the game and realized the similarities. So now when people ask him if he would direct Last of Us, he responds that he already directed Last of Us with this.
Did i just get Mandela'd? I've seen this movie over a dozen times since it came out and have watched multiple reactions and this is the first time i ever noticed the auto driving trucks. really? seeing the end of a series makes for a good introduction? lol That woyuld be like saying jumping into the MCU at Infinity War is a good intro lol

its soo funny that this is your first X-Men film 😂😂😂😂 the title alone tells you how far and away this one is different from the others in the series, which all have more typical "epic" Marvel titles and feels, this is just LOGAN... way more personal and intimate, a long and slow burn that makes you almost forget there is action sequences, very heavy but in a meditative way -- at least that is how it was for me -- and this hit youse guys so hard already, now imagine seeing this after like how many? seven? eight? films that were very much in the superhero genre... then THIS... i wont lie, i wasnt thrilled to see Wolverine appearing again after Logan was intended to be the final Wolverine film, but Hugh Jackman as Wolverine was a huge crush for me in the 2000s so if hes making bank, im willing to sell out 😂 it WAS a perfect end to his character, but time shenanigans is already part of the universe, so whatever, let it rain dollah dollah bill$$$$ 😂😂😂😂
Have to agree with those suggesting to just watch them all - before the MCU, the X-Men were awesome movies & the 1st 2 prequels are tremendous. Along with Logan. His journey & impact of his return with Deadpool is bigger. It’ll be fun to see you guys react to those movies

I wish they would make a full X-Men movie this brutal, gory, and dark. Superhero stuff is so much better when it’s gritty and bloody and real imo.
Agreed. Now every superhero film is made like an MCU film. Brightly colored and crammed full of family friendly jokes.
As a lifelong wolverine fan (45 years),
I love watching through the eyes of newbies❤
Logan is the best X-Men movie followed by X-Men: First Class and X-Men: Days of Future Past. IMHO, these three kinda of work like a trilogy of sort.
They are a perfect trio for sure - Blake
Def cooking, I feel like the Logan in this universe is closer to the Logan on First class universe. He actually dropped F bombs there too.
Logan was my first introduction to wolverine too. And it made me a fan for life!!!!
Laura x23 was the most amazing character I think. And the actress did a phenomenal job.
Fun Fact: For the casino shots, they had to use Dafne Keen's stunt double because Dafne was still underage.
Pretty sure it’s a movie set, not a real casino.
The best Wolverine movie!
