Burning of Canadian flag at Vancouver anti-Israel protest condemned by political leaders

- Political leaders are condemning what they describe as "hateful rhetoric" from a speaker at a rally in Vancouver, who told the crowd that "We are Hezbollah and we are Hamas."
Both groups are listed by Public Safety Canada as terrorist entities.
In videos circulated online, the unidentified masked woman led a crowd of hundreds at the Vancouver Art Gallery Monday night in chants of "death to Canada, death to the United States and death to Israel," while some in the group burned Canadian flags.

I called up VPD non emergency line and they said it’s legal to burn the Canadian flag . I then asked them is it legal to burn Palestinian flag and they replied they cannot answer this question and hung up the phone . So we are gonna burn some pally flags in Surrey and will find out if we will be arrested or not and find out if a two tier policing system exists or not

Bro, I'm Brazilian and I think about one day living in Canada, I study software engineering and I genuinely fell in love with this country and its people, I study English and French daily and I'm focused on postgraduate studies because I want to add something to the country, I made this summary To question one thing, why are these people who don't have the slightest respect for the nation and don't try to integrate into society are accepted to live there? When I see someone talk about xenophobia I laugh because looking at the level of the situation, I would really hate to see someone burn my country's flag while they are there, I got angry just seeing it, imagine you Canadians, it's revolting.

Your English is excellent, no need to apologize. I'll try to explain how the situation evolved in Canada. I'm old so I've seen many immigrants come to Canada over many decades. The people who came here from other countries worked hard and had success in Canada. Also, they were law abiding citizens and rarely committed crimes. So people here liked immigrants because they made our country a better place.
The government who has been in power since 2015 changed everything with its immigration policy. We're a small population here, around 40 million. The government decided that we need massive immigration. So it's allowing more that 1 million new people to come here every year.
The government also declared that there is no culture in Canada because we are multicultural. This encouraged immigrants to act differently than the immigrants that came here in the past. Many of the people who come here now do not integrate. I wonder whether the people in Brazil would like their government to tell them they have no culture.
Because so many people are coming, more criminals come in and immigrants are often very arrogant towards us Canadian.
The government and the police do nothing when protesters from other countries vandalize stores, government buildings, etc. (they've been doing that for one year now) and scream "Death to Canada" because it doesn't want to be viewed as racist.
As a result of the government's excessive tolerance towards these individuals, Canadians' attitude with regards to immigration is becoming very negative. I can assure you we were never like that.

I appreciate the whole explanation. To answer your question, I would hate it, and I'm almost certain the person would be arrested. From the outside, people really have no idea how much this forced and uncontrolled integration is destroying your country. The other day, I read an article on the CBC that said one of the biggest damages caused by Trudeau alone (apart from other problems) would be making Canadian society more unfriendly to immigration precisely because of ridiculous policies like this. In the past, immigration was very strict and selected those who REALLY wanted to live there, correct? As I said, one day I intend to live there, but only when I have enough money and work experience that I can contribute to the country. It definitely makes me sad to think that many people who don't have the slightest respect are being accepted every year. For the future, after Trudeau leaves, are you hopeful that the next government will fix the current problems?
