Your channel is one of the channels that really inspired me to start living more sustainably and to also start making videos about it! (Currently only have one posted, but I'm working on it to start spreading all the good tips I've learned)
oh my goodness first off, thank you! But also, EXCITING! Welcome to the lil youtube fam 💛Thank you for using your voice to chat about caring for mama earth! x
I recently sold an old phone of mine on eBay, but if that doesn't work out there are different places you can look into that recycle electronics devices & accessories. One that I know of is Greendisk, but you could probably find more online
Hi there! I just came across your "5 healthy habits that changed my life" video and I was shook when I saw you. You have a Mexican actress doppelganger!!! Her name is Zuria Vega. Wanted to share with you in case nobody has mentioned it before :) Greetings!
I’m not gonna lie it makes me so mad when I see people selling new fast fashion stuff on platforms like depop and posh mark. I paint denim jackets and other second hand clothing and put a lot of time and effort into finding beautiful second hand items to upcycle. These people are spamming the site with shitty fast fashion items that are just going to fall apart in a week and are completely missing the point of the platform. I get they’re just trying to make some money, but bulk buying clothing that was probably made by children or some sort of slave labour makes me feel so icky inside :(
Also depending if somebody is going to be looking on an iPhone vs a Samsung vs a Motorola vs a color corrective computer vs etc. the color is also going to possibly appear different. I personally try to edit for iPhone colors considering it has the most dominants over the market.
I started watching your videos roughly a month ago, and since then I have made so many changes to my lifestyle to lessen my impact! I always knew about zero waste but you explain everything and go in deep with everything that it made me a lot less nervous about switching. I have stopped buying tampons and use a cup, I no longer buy bottled soap, and im done buying make up and will replace it with either DIY or more eco alternatives, im done buying disposable razors. All the insecurities I had about switching to this lifestyle that prevented me from the switch have gone away, I was worried bar shampoo wouldn't work as well, natural deodorants wouldn't work as well, that a cup wouldnt work, and that I would have to give up all of the things I like to pamper myself with like fancy make up, clothes, perfumes. Honestly my hair and skin is so happy I stopped using commercial products, my hair is as soft as its ever been + it costs WAY less, plus all the fancy make up clothes and perfumes REALLY arent that much different from its eco alternatives lol. I also had made a friend who is very into the zero waste so you and her were both big inspirations for me. It was very awakening to know someone in person who lives life like that, and I think your channel is super important because it helps others who may not know anybody into zero waste to see that it IS realistic. I think a lot of people think its just too hard and push it off. Now it motivates me even more to keep at it because now I can be that inspiration to those around ME who might be interested.
Regarding the tip about mentioning "look a like" brands: If you sell on ebay, this is highly forbidden. You are not allowed to write any brand names, if the article is not from this label. Ebay will delete these articles and finally block your whole account.
C. Aimée B - Yes! It’s also prohibited on Poshmark as are stock photos. Crazy how many people get away with it while others work hard to take their own pics instead of stealing what they don’t have permission to use. And yep, it’s stealing, a photograph is copyrighted, without permission from the owner it’s plagiarism. 🙁
C. Aimée B - I suppose they’re getting away with it as people think it’s allowed. It’s clearly stated in Poshmark no-no’s that it isn’t. Perhaps unless they get reported? I know eBay will send out a message ASAP if you list a brand name (especially luxury brands) and you must prove it’s the real deal. When I started on eBay back in 97, I innocently said a vintage luxury NY department store suit looked in the style of Chanel & they sent a notice that it was taken down, lesson learned! Tschüssi! Jet 🧡🎸🎶⚡️
I'm so early. 🙊 Also this is probably my first comment on this channel, but it's quickly become one of my favorites and inspired me to go low waste myself (not quite there yet :3).
ahhhhh! Oh my goodness! You're a rockstar! THANK YOU for going out of your way to make changes and be kind to mama earth. She's defo giving you a big hug for every swap you make 💛I'm definitely not perfectly low waste either so don't fret about that. It's definitely a journey and every lil swap we make makes such an impact. Sending you so so much love on this fine Saturday morning! And good energies on your low waste quest! YOU'VE GOT THIS! x
Is it better to recycle cardboard boxes or compost them? I now have both city recycling and composting bins, but I'm wondering what will do the ecosystem the most benefit and least amount of harm. Any thoughts are appreciated! Thank you! I ❤ your channel!
Hiiii! I live in Aus and don't have access to download the Poshmark app 😭 how can I buy your yellow top!? I need it in my life 🥰 P.S live for your videos!
These are great tips!! I will have to do this for my sister who has too many clothing items and wears 1/3 of them!! Me on the other hand, I cycle through all of My clothing and have been very purposeful in what I add to my attire. So atm, I have like nothing to sell because I have a very small curated closet as it is.
Sedona Christina she has actually asked for help with it before because she isn’t sure how to go about selling her stuff online. So yeah I definitely appreciate the tips!!!
I love Poshmark that’s awesome your selling there I’m totally sad though a great thing of jeans you put up that are retro and flared and totally cute already sold darn but girl keep up that awesome sustainability I love using Poshmark so I’ll keep an eye out for anything I might want
I'm trying to build a capsule wardrobe on more solid colored/basic pieces & I was wondering where you happened to buy your white sweater in this video?
omg comments like this make my heart absolutely melt. THANK YOU! It's the little words of encouragement in life that you just really need sometimes haha 💛🙈
I’m trying to sell clothes on Poshmark and a lot of them are too small on me so does anyone have tips on how to not use a store photo or get the item to sell?
I’ve been donating my clothes to St Jude’s for years. I was always told that they take any size because they donate to the families as well as the kids. Never once did it cross my mind that the clothes might be thrown away! Anyone know if this is still an okay place to donate??
What I prefer to do with my old clothes is first give them to any family or friends who might want them next is to go on a Facebook group typically a free stuff group or a helping hands group and just make a post saying bag of free clothes pick up only first come first serve they're on the front step no holds. They're always gone within a couple hours.
hehe thank you! Now we can do it together! Because I have a whole heep to declutter. I feel like I always put it off for the sake of not wanting to spend the time posting it but when I think of the fact that I'm not alone it makes it so much more approachable 💛
You definitely don’t need to on every platform. But platforms like Depop or eBay, you can definitely charge more and it will sell faster if you have try on photos. Might even be worth paying a friend who they might fit to come over and help you take a few photos! 🙂
Perfect as I have started listing things to sell myself again. I've had an OK experience before and it fell so good to free up my space and know that someone will use what's been just laying around with no purpose
We can declutter together then! Not going to lie, it's really nice to know that I'm not alone in this phase hehe 💛I always put off the actual posting of my items because it feels like such a chore but knowing this movement is so powerful has been encouraging this time around! Sending ya heaps of luv on this fine Saturday! x
Sadia Begum It’s hardly just about that. There’s a danger in fostering the culture of disposability with clothes. Reselling and finiding a new ownere to your things you no longer want is taking responibility in what you own. Plus it doesn’t create a demand for more new things (using up new resources)
Exactly, i do think landfills are very bad but i dont get why people would buy online or go with their car to the second hand store, kinda defeats the plan of saving the planet no? idk i feel the same way about people taking their car to the gym😂defeats the point.. but than again i live in a place with great public transport and bikeroads
@@isa-qi2zg Yeah you would have a different opinion if you lived a rural area and if you tried to ride your bike into town it would take you four to five hours just to reach the outside of the city.
your background makes this video feel so cozy
hehe ooooh thank you!!! What a compliment! Cozy is always a vibe I will always welcome 💛

All those clothes are adorable on you, I cant believe your decluttering them. Wish I was your size because I'd so buy them 😊
