The fact that you remained so calm and were able to think clearly and reason with yourself during such an immensely stressful experience is a tell-tale sign that you will be a great physician and speaks much more than a score. Best of luck in the future.

507 is great honestly with a lot of extracurriculars and research. I've seen 4.0 gpas with 514 get waitlisted, and a 3.1 with a 501 get in. It's what you bring to the table. I'm going DO this August with a 3.41 and a 501. Keep up the good work!

Huge props to you for sharing this. I think it's so important to share realistic and honest experiences of the pre-med journey. There is so much stuff out there about 99 percentile scorers, that it can make you feel that's the norm and you're inadequate. But by definition 99 percentile isn't the norm, and it's really encouraging and refreshing to see your story. Thanks for sharing! Best of luck!

This brought me back to the excitement and nerves I had when I first viewed my score. Good job! I have a friend who just matched (TMDSAS) to his top choice MD school with a 507. If the rest of your application is good and you have good clinical experience you will be golden with that score.
Also thank you so much for sharing even though you did not score in the top 1 percentile. Your experience reflects the experience of a large majority of students who take the test, yet all of these reaction videos are largely skewed towards the 520's which is not the experience of most people who take this exam. I feel like viewing a lot of content from high scorers can be detrimental to the mental health of people who get decent or average scores, and your video helps with the problem. Again, great job and I look forward to see your videos when you get into medical school!

Honestly, your score is really good! I think your other stats and experiences plus a stellar personal statement will easily get you at least a few interviews. Please don’t cloud your energy with any negative comments. Perhaps others with a 507 had low GPA’s, minimal research or lackluster volunteer experiences, or did not interview well. Don’t compare! So easy to compare ourselves to those insanely high scorers, but just know that there's so much more to us than this # we get from this test! hmm. I had a 507 in 2020 and didn’t get anywhere. Being honest it only gets harder every year. Since your sections are all above 125 you should be okay, ofcourse, you have to bolster the rest of your application. I had a 129 in c/p, 124 cars, 126 bchm, 128 p/s. The low CARS score killed me, so since ur scores are all relatively similar u should be fine.

I got a 507 the first time i took the MCAT. I was averaging a 512 on the FL. I decided to take a whole year to re-study and re-take (which i recommend anyone who can, to do) and in that year I understood the MCAT is not a content exam (I know everyone says that but once it clicks, the MCAT becomes much easier). I re-tested march 12, 2022 and scored a 515. Everyone can do it, this is not an exam to rush just because you dont want to take a gap year. Keep pushing forward and great job

Wow if the only reactions u saw were of 525 scores u should def see my test score reaction vid 😅. Or at least just watch the second one! I don’t want to spoil it but I really think you’d like the second one.
Btw I know you feel conflicted, but that test is damn hard, it’s like no other test we’ve taken before. 69th percentile is NOT like getting a 69% on a test, u placed better than 68% of all the ppl that took the test this year, all of those ppl having took all the prerequisites, and then feeling confident enough to pay the $250 to take the test!
Additionally ur breakdown is very even and that looks a LOT better to American med schools cause they want well rounded students. Like if u got the same score but a 122 in cars you would have been screened off ppl’s desks.
Congrats on finishing the beast of a test, even if u choose to retake it this experience will help u a LOT. Also try applying to UKY if u have any familial relation here, the average acceptance acceptance score for last year was a 5.5, MD school.
