I’ve watched so many of these, so here’s my contribution to the mass. Hope you enjoyed me reacting to my very realistic MCAT score! #mcat #mcat2022 #premed
The fact that you remained so calm and were able to think clearly and reason with yourself during such an immensely stressful experience is a tell-tale sign that you will be a great physician and speaks much more than a score. Best of luck in the future.
Randomly saw this on my feed. But a 507 is a great score! I also got a 507 and got 11 interviews for MD and almost done with my first year. Like everyone said it’s all about a balanced application. Good luck on your journey!!
507 is great honestly with a lot of extracurriculars and research. I've seen 4.0 gpas with 514 get waitlisted, and a 3.1 with a 501 get in. It's what you bring to the table. I'm going DO this August with a 3.41 and a 501. Keep up the good work!
Thank you so much for your transparency!!! It’s suchhhhh a comforting feeling to see realistic scores in a pool and platform where all people ever talk about is their 99.9% scores!!!
Huge props to you for sharing this. I think it's so important to share realistic and honest experiences of the pre-med journey. There is so much stuff out there about 99 percentile scorers, that it can make you feel that's the norm and you're inadequate. But by definition 99 percentile isn't the norm, and it's really encouraging and refreshing to see your story. Thanks for sharing! Best of luck!
It takes guts to post your score out in the open regardless of what it is and you got a good score! Thank you for this and you are in good shape to do well in the application cycle! I also got my score on the same day as you, and as a retaker, I am glad that I will not have to do it again! Whatever decision you take about your score, we did it! Go us!!
You did amazing !! With everything else in good standing there’s no doubt you’ll get in! I’m starting this August & can’t wait to see how you go through this process :)
I’m also a member of AED! I am a member in the Texas Theta chapter :) congrats on a 507! I won’t take my MCAT for another year and a half or so, I just started back in college on my pre-med journey! I’m excited to see how your application cycle turns out! Best of luck :)
I really love this video because this was your journey to take the MCAT. A lot of arrogant people boast of their scores, but I love the optimism. Keep it up! 💪

@@XxAznChrizxX That's so amazing to hear and definitely gives me hope for this upcoming cycle. Also congratulations on your acceptances! You deserve em
This brought me back to the excitement and nerves I had when I first viewed my score. Good job! I have a friend who just matched (TMDSAS) to his top choice MD school with a 507. If the rest of your application is good and you have good clinical experience you will be golden with that score. Also thank you so much for sharing even though you did not score in the top 1 percentile. Your experience reflects the experience of a large majority of students who take the test, yet all of these reaction videos are largely skewed towards the 520's which is not the experience of most people who take this exam. I feel like viewing a lot of content from high scorers can be detrimental to the mental health of people who get decent or average scores, and your video helps with the problem. Again, great job and I look forward to see your videos when you get into medical school!
Good job! 507 can definitely get you a good number of interviews, just apply broadly and work on a good personal statement! I had a 505 and I applied anyways and got 4 interviews, 2 acceptances - I'm an M3 now :)
Honestly, your score is really good! I think your other stats and experiences plus a stellar personal statement will easily get you at least a few interviews. Please don’t cloud your energy with any negative comments. Perhaps others with a 507 had low GPA’s, minimal research or lackluster volunteer experiences, or did not interview well. Don’t compare! Keep your chin held high, apply and move forward with positive thoughts. YOU got this 🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼💙
Ah thank you for this! I was mostly bummed right after because it wasn't the score I was aiming for. But you're right & I'm definitely pushing forward 100% now
I felt the same exact way when I opened my score too, like I was contemplating whether or not to retake or keep it and I decided to keep it! So easy to compare ourselves to those insanely high scorers, but just know that there's so much more to us than this # we get from this test! Feel however you need to feel for the next couple days/week, but just know this doesn't make or break you as a person/applicant! Stay on it and we'll make it through, we got this!
Yes!! I was so conflicted until a non-premed-forum person helped me realize my score wasn't as bad as I thought. Props to all the 520 scorers out there, but there are still plenty of people getting in with sub 510s as well. Best of luck to you and I'm excited to see us on the other side :)
Good job on studying and even attempting the exam! It is not easy. As for retaking, it depends on your goals and aspirations. Make whatever decision that will leave you with no regrets! Best of luck.
Hi love! Good job on your score and for your achievements thusfar. You'll do great on your journey as long as you represent yourself well in your application, have good LoR's, and a solid personal statement! Remember to apply broadly and get in your app early!
This video just randomly came up on my recommended - but I scored a 507 too. I was worried when I sent out apps last year, but everything worked out! hmm. I had a 507 in 2020 and didn’t get anywhere. Being honest it only gets harder every year.
