Ok so i have become addicted to this show. What they give the different families is wonderful. This family omg could they be any nicer and the parents so brave. When you think of the stupid stuff we worry about then see children and their families and what their going through, we really need to cop on. Our health is our wealth. George not all hero's wear capes 👨‍🔧👷‍♂️👏👏👏

Yes, he is a hero to those kids, they just love him, dont they? And in that same vein, (as I have now dubbed him Saint George so...) not all Saint Nicholas's or (St Georges) wear Santa suits!! Haha, For me he is like the Saint Nicholas of home Renovation Rescues, spreading joy and lifting the spirits of deserving people by bringing the gift of home improvements to those who are most needing some magic in their lives.
God bless Georgie and his teams working with him!
May his good works continue, for the lucky ones who are blessed to be visited upon by Saint Georgie of y'alls American (east coast?) areas. (Wish we had people like him where Im from, need a few miracles and magic for both me and my mum)

The bear cave is amazingly creative! The quality of life is really what we all need. It's not the stuff or the time that we have but its the love and quality of each day that is the most remembered. Thanks team George! You rock!

I can see Lucas at either the table or the cave while Lara will just get into everything. At least, that's how I read them. Thank you, guys! Now pass the Kleenex please!

Having lost both of my own children at very young ages, I can empathize with these parents for what they're going to go through, and they have my strongest sympathy ahead of time. I'm so glad George could give the children such a terrific indoor space in which to play and be normal, yet safe and protected, children.

My baby brother died when he was 7. He was born with hydrocephalus and probably cerebral palsy (he had some spasticity in some muscles). He was the most loving caring thoughtful child... that was in the 60's when there was no help for poor families who had kids with special needs. It's heartwarming to see so many people out there helping families in need. God bless those who do and God bless the families who struggle with the joys and heartbreaks of raising children with special needs.

I tend not to binge watch George and let the RUclips "gods" send me what I'm supposed to watch every few days. Today I'm beginning my shopping and prep for Thanksgiving 2021, and this video was suggested to me. I turned it on while I was setting off my smoke alarms trying to brown flour for the gravy I'm making later this week. I was laughing, the kids were laughing. Very nice moment. What a treat to watch this family check items off their Bucket List as I am checking off items from my To Do List and feeling so much gratitude.

I know the mother became very emotional at the end about the lasting memory thing, with the name etchings... Possibly they could add the kids hand prints or clay impressions, (which they could paint & decorate) to those later too and mount them in little matching frames and nail them up in the "den house." But I really wish those little sweeties didnt have to have that terrible disease, & it's bad enough for one child, much less two to be affected with the same awful thing, and that because of it they will experience deteriorating health, as they mentioned at the beginning, that struck me in the heart, as well as, not knowing anything about this disease before, but hearing that they will also likely not live very long?? makes me feel really sad, and I wish that God could intervene and somehow reverse this by His mercy and Grace & make those little ones well, bringing them back to full health the way it was intended...if it were at all possible, I pray that The Lord God could do the impossible, for them, in Jesus Christs Holy name

After watching virtually every episode I have come to understand that the folks needing a rescue are told a crew is coming in to interview and film the space(s) needing help and then the video with several others will be reviewed where one will then be chosen. Indeed this may be exactly what happens but in some cases the decision has been made already and so whilst the interviewing film crew is onsite, up walks George with a knock at the door.

It was all good but seemed like there should have been more equipment for the kids to play on and less for the parents to sit on. The kids can't go out to play so I was thinking play ground things like small slide , sandbox, water table (the kind kids play in) etc. The stump bear cave is wonderful but other than that, they didn't add much. The big swing was already there.Really not much for the kids to actually do. Eating areas and a kitchenette aren't exactly bringing the outside in for the kids. I kinda think George blew it on this one ! Sorry.

    • @claudeusgothicus6453
      @claudeusgothicus6453 4 года назад

Those fish probably won't be there that long, unfortunately, because there's really no way to keep it clean. Some people may not realize that you actually have to maintain a fish tank or the fish will die. You have to remove them and empty out the old water clean the tank with special stuff, then refill with fresh water that you have to treat (because of the chemicals in our water) and then after it's set and it's ready, put the fish back into their tank. Fish like all living things require commitment, knowledge, and maintenance, and things like dirty water and overfeeding them will kill them. So although it might have been a really cool idea, it's not practical. I wish he could have done something along the same vein, bringing life in, but just not this. I'm afraid this will only eventually end up being just a big table with this weird unusable hole/space in the middle of it where some fish died. I guess after that happens maybe they could refill that space with some type of organic medium and grow some smaller low light type plants?

Natural light is really bad for cockayne kids.

The renovation was for them to live in, for their children to enjoy for as long as they're here. Selling the house is not their focus at all.

@@GladysRWhite Obviously not right away. Are you under the impression that the whole family will live forever?

@@Falsehooddiaries + They are thankful to have that space for their children. Selling the home will come later, but is not the central matter right now. It seems you're focusing on sales and the profit. When the time comes, God will provide and work out things for them. Nobody is under the impression anyone will live forever, particularly the parents. They KNOW their children will live short lives. Your comment lacks understanding, empathy for what really matters.

@@GladysRWhite I don't give a fuck about profit. It's a beautiful story and I'm happy for them. I was only saying that WHEN the time comes to sell it will be interesting for the realtor. You're assuming a lot about this. Reading way too far into it. Do you have nothing better to do?
I do. And I won't be replying after this.

George, you and your crew know what you do to those people. Yep, in your words 180 life spin. Maybe I live a short life too. Life is unexpected. But in those short time, if you can make him/her happy and make them comfy. It's the biggest thing you can do.

I was not familiar with this show until this evening when I chanced upon an episode. I couldn't stop ! I watched several episodes. It is inspiring , and touching the things you guys do for families who have such hurdles to leap in life. These things make their trials just a tad more tolerable I hope. Though that little boy couldn't react or emote as much as his sister, His face said it all when he crawled in to cuddle with those bears that were larger than him. I look forward to binging on more of these episodes over the next few days. Kudos to you George and the fine program you are a part of .
