Very very beautiful Julian. Your videos are always very informative and beautiful. We look forward to seeing them when you publish them. Thanks again 🙏.❤.
Thanks for sharing, excellent video and drone footage. It's amazing to see these robust infrastructure projects. Is this being constructed by the Chinese? If so, do they employ locals? I mean that would be great for the economy. Thanks again for sharing!
Considering all the tax revenue sent to the central government from Montego Bay, this should not be a tolled road. I think the city was unfairly treated as this toll bypass could be doomed to lack of use like the North-South leg of Highway 2000, because of affordability. After so many years of needing a bypass to alleviate the crippling traffic in Montego Bay, an underused toll road will do little to fix the mess. No justification, that Montego Bay could not have provided enough funds in its tax base to fund this free and clear, including future maintenance.
@@oshane2525 it is a rip-off of the Jamaican people. How many years did Montego Bay taxpayers beg for a bypass road to help with the crippling traffic woes in the city, and now one is built, the majority of potential users may not be able to afford the costs of using it. Yet at the same time, Kingston is building miles upon miles of expensive free roads, using the same taxpayer's money, collected from all the tax generated by the region, especially in the tourism sector, while TEF is sitting on a slush fund of dollars, unspent. I'm wondering how long it took Stanley Consultant from the United States to do the feasibility study and survey and to put the Blueprints together. I know the Jamaica Defence Force Air Wing played a part of the aerial surveying.
A causeway is a road that has been slightly raised above the water. Causeways are commonly used in areas of shallow water. In contrast, a bridge is used in deeper water areas and is taller than causeways. They are not the same
That is not true, there are several bridges in the US that runs over dry land and are called bridges. Overpass are bridges that goes over a city or commercial entities
@@applecandyfolks7979 please try and Google “What is a bridge again” Depending on the country, an overpass can be called a bridge or a structure, but in the USA, it’s a structure that carries one road over another. Source Google.

The bypass highway should have gone more inland, creating a bigger semi circle around the core city as it now is. The general city of Montego bay is gonna expand around the highway and simply meaning more congestion in the next 10 to 20 years.
Urwin was an orange grove and green pond one of the first automatic dairies in Jamaica. More agricultural land covered by toll road. Gues we will just import more food. Terrible
This is serious civil engineering infrastructural road work. Notice that the embankment has to be contained. It's not just rolling out an asphaltic carpet 😢😂
Sorry, I had to go politics, but it's a reality that politics is everything. It's takes a vision for everything to happen, and the political eyes of the leaders must see the visions of prosperity 🙏 for Jamaica 🇯🇲 Country FIRST, party after.

It's all about money making. Imagine government take your tax dollar, build a road and charge you toll to drive on said road. Joke.

The highway 🛣️ gives a great view from our house which means the value gone up, I hope they fix the roads in and around the areas
Jamaica slowly and develop. But some people ungrateful to what's going on. It's a slow process but it's going to worth it 🎉

I hope I remember to put all this information in the next videos, and you're welcome.
So when dis is done building, whomever is doing it is going to get the another 50 year contract to own it too
No, the country owns this, no money was borrowed.
Great video as usual, but why a toll though?
Could be that revenue is need to pay back the loans. I am just saying.
Does portmore causeway consider a bridge 🌁 because I think it’s very long

@ 4:14 There seem to be a deep gap, do you know if will there be another bridge there? Second time asking. Thanks.
That, I am not sure, but I think it will backfill.
Please remind us of the cost of this Perimeter Roads and the tremendous benefits 🙏 thanks for the update 🙏
Noted
THIS IS WHAT IS AND WILL CAUSE MORE FLOODING DURING THE HURRICANE / RAINY SEASON
In the USA it’s not called a bridge but rather an overpass.
If it runs over water I guess it’s a bridge.
It runs over the Barnett river.
It will also fly over the Adelphi road that runs alongside the Montego River...

When is it schedule to open?
It is slated to be finished March 2028.
Ironshore to st Catherine Hall is the by pass

There is a lot of land on the opposite side of Cornwall to expand .
Mobay will be the capital of Jamaica in the future

May pen highway bridge 🌁
..is shorter than this bridge in Mobay...

Where you highlighted green pond is not exactly green pond...........its Cornwall court........green pond is a bit far from the bypass
Thanks
Second pon dis

Really, first I'm hearing a toll plaza being built for a bypass at that. Otherwise great overview
Rugged, spectacular landscape/scenery...
A well PLANNED and ENGINEERED ISLANDWIDE MODERN RAILWAY SYSTEM WOULD HAVE BEEN MORE ECONOMICAL AND ENVIRONMENTALLY BETTER
