- An Ikea Besta push and open drawer installation and adjustment is an easy project. At first it seems that making drawers is more difficult than hanging shelves but that’s not the case; true that the job lasts a little bit longer, but all in all it’s definitely worth the effort as you will acquire more space and organization, particularly for the small objects.
The Ikea Besta unit with drawers is an ideal way to give all your stuff a home. It creates lots of useable space as the runners pull to reach places (especially on the base of the cabinet) much easier. No more going through the whole shelf contents to find a lost item, doesn't it sound great?

I have the beets combo unit and am struggling to get the drawers to align, there’s either too much space between them or not enough 🥴 LOSING MY MIND. I don’t think there’s the little « R » adjustment on mine.
I will give a kidney if someone has a hack
He cannot possibly fit the little spike at the back of slider into the hole at back if drawer when drawer is in place.
I've just put besta together and 1 drawer will not sit flush on one side so I contacted ikea for a replacement runner and no different. Can't figure it out. I've done all the adjustments possible.

@@k-nemo my drawer is aligned perfectly between the two cupboard doors but will not close. It pops back about two inches

What drawer front have you used?
How to adjust horizontal alignment. Though runner are parallel and drawer engaged at back still bottom n top drawers dont align

Thanks for this very helpful video! Do you know if the width of the drawer is also adjustable? Like the web description only provided the depth of the runner. Is the synchronization pin (the thin rod at the far end) adjustable to the widths I want? Thanks a lot
No. The width is not adjustable.

Is there a way to unlock the white plastic piece? I locked one side but need to remove the drawer since I didn’t get the other side correct.

That orange screw is so difficult to adjust. Are you adjusting before installation?

Maybe try adjusting the orange knob to make it stick out more from the furniture?

@@k-nemo Hi, I realised that I used the set up of screws for the front panel of the drawer on a setting for a middle drawer and not a bottom one, I had no idea that was a thing until I had a further look at the instructions. Thanks for replying anyway! The video is very informative

@@RaquelSantos-ef1lw there were several issues. Have a look at the manual, the placement of the screws on the cover differs depending if it is a lower drawer or middle one, so have a read at that. The other one was that the tiny plastic on the bottom of the drawer that goes on top of the rail was in the wrong position, so the drawer was slightly higher than it should. Other things you should check is that you don't put the drawer cover upside down
I can see that this is going to be one of those “expectations vs reality” situations (kind of like those videos on how to give pills to your cat). Like omg, why are these so complicated?! 😂
They are not complicated. Follow the instructions step by step. The video will also be helpful.
90% of Ikea's customers speak English. Some words to go with the video couldn't hurt. 😅
I still cant get them to stay on properly.. this is the weirdest system iv even seen.
