The 2023 Kawasaki Z H2 Will Become a Cult Classic

- In this video, let's take a look at the 2023 Kawasaki Z H2.
In the commuter category,
- The bike’s riding position is very comfortable for inner-city commute. Your feet are positioned almost directly down instead of to the back which creates less body fatigue. The Z H2 earns 6 out of 10.
- The fuel tank is big, holding roughly 4.5 gallons of gas. but as evident from owner forums, the supercharger takes a significant toll on the gas milage making the bike hover around 25 mpg earing the Z H2 a 5 out of 10.
- As far as commute-specific tech goes, the Z H2 has a fantastic cruise control, and the rideology app that can enable you to monitor details of your bike like how much gas is left, where you left the bike last, and what rider mode you were in last which is a nice touch earning the Z H2 a 5 out of 10.
- Storage is limited to under the seat and is considered average for a motorcycle, but anything larger than a soda can, you have to bring along your backpack earning the Z H2 a 5 out of 10.
- An important factor making a bike a great commuter bike is the cost effectiveness, reliability, and dealer network. The Z H2 is backed by a decent warranty and carries the credibility of Kawasaki’s reliability, but being a supercharged motorcycle does hurt its reliability a little bit as we have heard a lot of horror stories with the original H2’s supercharger. Nonetheless Kawasaki has a large network of dealerships in the US and earns the Z H2 a 6 out of 10. I would give it a 7 out of 10 if it wasn’t a supercharged bike.
For a total of 27 out of 50 points for the commuter category.
In the Performance/Dope Factor Category
- The Z H2’s upright commute riding style now becomes a slight downside in the performance category as the wind at high speeds can really bash you in the head and earning the Z H2 a 6 out of 10. Motorcycles with a more tucked in position score higher here.
- The horsepower figure is extremely strong as the Z H2 is almost unbeatable by any other streetfighter in the Horsepower/Torque department. With a claimed 197 HP and 101 lb.ft of torque, the Z H2 earns an impressive 9 out of 10.
- The Z H2 weighs a tremendous 525 lbs earning it a 3 out of 10. Kawasaki’s focus must be putting the Z H2 on a diet. For reference, the Ducati streetfighter V4 is almost 100 Lbs lighter than the Z H2 at 444 pounds.
- In regard to the rider aid’s technologies, the Z H2 is loaded with some goodies, such as Kawasaki quick shifters up and down, launch control, cornering assist, Lean censor, Rideology app, Intelligent Antilock brake control, and a Bosch multidirectional IMU earning it a 9 out of 10.
- As for the Z H2’s design choices and marketplace, it is an interesting looking bike but I wouldn’t call it a beautiful motorcycle. At the price of $18,500 it is out of the price range of a good portion of the population which makes it a high-end motorcycle. Resale values are average on this bike with some bikes losing almost 40% of their original MSRP after 3 years, so it appears the demand is not too high for a used supercharged motorcycle. With all of that, the The Z H2 earns a 6 out of 10 in the dope factor category.

This bike looks phenomenal Idk why people call it ugly.
It's amazing, but it's heavy compared to Ducati Streetfighter V4S
@@spartanbhagwa7066Nice bikes but B King is still the best naked beast.
If you didn't get the information yet, the blinking is cause the bike is still locked and has an upgrade. With the upgrade you can adjust timing for when to shift as well as unlock a bit more power. Hope you are having a wonderful time! Great video!
Definitely the most detailed review out there, but damn bro put some fuel in that bike lol
We live life on the edge. Thanks for watching!
Probably the best motorcycle and best review you have uploaded so far. Thank you!
Thanks for watching!
Yeah, this dude has done the excellent review on ZH2 ever!!!

My zh2 only color to chose is green and grey, and de turn lights are full led, bought at 2 weeks brand new
Thank you for explaining so well
There is No comparison. The zx400rr is worth every penny, and you most likely stay with the 400 /4 banger will keep and make many memories together ❤️ buy it! 52 yes of riding unless you get a good deal and are just starting out but my money is on the 400 / because it rides so much better and will be a collection of the ninjas someday.
If you have a ZX4R let me know! I’d love to review one!
Excellent video!
Glad you enjoyed it! Keep an eye out for future videos!
I have a 1st gen, all lights are led as stock, rideology app was already there when i bought my zh2 back in 2020. I think the models after 2020 already have electronic suspension.
Weird. Because as you have seen in the video, this 2023 model has bulb turn signals and manual suspensions. And it isn’t like a cheap trim of this bike or whatnot they only come in one trim. Maybe Kawasaki has gone full conservative
@@emadreviews European/JDM ones always came with full led, even the 2020+ z900
@@HandleAndGretelI've never understood why we don't get the led turn signals in the US
@@06330i Happened with some Honda too, heard it's because of their shape, doesn't comply with US regulations
How’s the reliability with this bike ? Thinking of getting one.
It’s a Kawasaki. How bad can it be!
It's more reliable than a hayabusa and 100% more reliable than ANY ducati....the engine in this thing is literally bullet proof. The ONLY thing you need to make sure to do is to make sure that your oil level is always 50% full in the oil glass(half/half) because too much oil will spill over into the supercharger and too little will render it useless...
Very explanatory bike review! Yo made it very clear and in such a short video covered all the important aspects of this bike. Impressive work. Well done!
👏👏👏 Thank you!
Glad you liked it! Keep an eye out every Sunday for new videos!
Its not a propeller its a impeller street fighter does not mean fighting the street
Only if I had displayed the corrected term on the screen…

i like your review style. keep it up man
Thank you!
H2 is 200mm rear, non 190
That’s correct. Thank you for providing the correct tire size.
Riding in Bellevue WA I see. I buy my bikes from the same dealer.
It’s a beautiful city isn’t it!
I'll never get rid of mine
Anyone here do track days on the ZH2?
very technical review.. I have the 23 SE and it is the ultimate naked!

they do make an SE model with electronic suspension and better brakes
Are you referring to H2 SX SE? that’s pretty much an entirely different bike. It’s a tourer and yep it is much more equipped than this one. It’s also a good amount more expensive.
Looks futuristic, doesn’t it!?
nope ZH2 SE@@emadreviews
@@emadreviewsno, they make a Z H2 SE with electronic suspension, better brembos, and stainless steel brakes.
@@06330i at the time this review was done, I provided the correct information. The brand new 2024 model now has an SE.
doug demuro vibes lmao, cool video though.
that exchaust is bigger than the bike
It’s a girthy boy. (RUclips please don’t ban me)
I think you did an ok review here showing features, but you were very hard on the bike in your scoring. I have one...if this bike was 444 LBS, it would unridable. Also, it's not a street fighter, it's not really a hyper naked either, it's been best described as a muscle naked...think muscle car..and you will need plenty of muscle to hold yourself in the seat! Not for the faint of heart. It will kill you! Biggest criticism should have been lack of wheelie control. The whellies are unpredictable due to the supercharger.
Compared to zx10r?
Watch Brocks series, after tune and exhaust it walks the ZX10R.
doug d
Lmao no.
It's a bloody zed H2 not a zee h2 I hate the American sayings zeeeee 😂😂😂😂

One of the ugliest motorcycles ever made with the most overrated engine ever made. Doubtful it becomes a cult classic.
Thanks for watching the video! But that’s what a cult classic is. A bike praised by a small group of people who obsess over something. If it was regarded as a perfect bike by everyone, it would then be called a classic. Not cult classic. Hope that clears up the title.
Hater can’t afford it. It’s ok little champion 😂.
It is not quite as powerful as a standard H2. It doesn’t have forged pistons, or balanced internals. Something to bear in mind
I’ll hopefully be able to test an H2 and report the differences!
Pricepoint.
Im between zh2 or m1000 r??
If you plan to ride at the track alot and need the lighter bike with more lean angle then the BMW might be a better choice. If you want a super comfortable bike for the street that will smack you in the face with power go ZH2. I would say sit on both for sure befor you choose, ZH2 is supringly comfortable.
