Harness line length depends mostly on how high the boom is relative to the harness hook. Because smaller sailors tend have their boom set higher, relative to how to tall they are, and vice versa for taller sailors, the length of the harness lines are less related to body height/forearm length thank you think.

Thanks for the advice. Is this rule only for waveriding due to the nature of that discipline? What would be the rule for slalom, freestyle, or just cruising around or for bump and jump?

Does this just apply to waist harness ? What about if use seat harness ? Add on how many extra cm ?

Good video! I had a suspicion my 28" lines were too short, so I went to 30". Just done your test and it seems to match up - I measure 38cm elbow to finger tip, and the lines also. I'm 170cm tall.

@@Mariz650 yes pretty much. So for me 38cm / 2.54 = 15 inches, * 2 = 30 inch lines
