Mike Rooker. One of the coolest actors I ever met. He frequently visited our store and shot a breeze with us for the 4 years I worked there. He always treated us like we were his best friend. I'm happy for his continued success.

The person who uploaded may have had the audio removed by RUclips due to copyright reasons so they uploaded it and sped it up cuz without audio it gets boring and loses views.Im also sure there is one with audio somewhere on RUclips

Ok whenever I see someone getting this done, (2-5 hour makeup session) they never seem to talk to the makeup artists like they're people. However, this guy does!! I would absolutely do the same, just strike up a conversation, crack a couple jokes, make them laugh and treat them like equals. Not just sit there and tolerate the long process.
I would imagine that every day is different. If they have to get their make up done for hours on end for every scene then I imagine that some days there's lots of conversation that happens and other days people don't feel so talkative. Maybe the ones you have seen are on those less talkative days...?
It is called holding still for the make up artist, constant talking and moving slows down the application. Watch how they have to wait for him to shut up. A quiet, still person is easier to work on.

Saw it in the theater and looked over at the rowdy guys next to me who had been laughing and cheering and whistling at Gamora -- they were totally silent with wet eyes during that whole scene. I was sniffling too. I think most of the theater teared up. Rooker and Pratt knocked it out of the park.

Out of many memorable moments in MCU, very few one's made my eyes wet. Yondu's death was one of them Every time if I will watch his arc in GOTG vol 1 and 2 it will make me emotional. He played the character perfectly.
Gotta give props to the makeup artists, as well as costume designers, for being able to transform Michael Rooker into the character he was about to portray as! I can't imagine how long it took to be able to transform the actors into characters they're about to portray as in movies and TV shows! 😊😁 ...And speaking of Michael Rooker, he did a phenomenal job portraying as Yondu, but knowing what happened to him in the second movie... things will not be the same without him... 😔
Bohdan Lvov I would say that once they take it out so that he's got his real skin colour and it looks like he's missing a chunk of head because of the prosthetic lumps the use to make it look authentic. I would say that's worse.
They are pretty good about coordination with the rest of the cast to limit the number of shoots. The bean counters I'm sure are paying attention to the budget. I'm sure those makeup artists do not come cheap.
