I have the Lenovo Yoga 2 13 with i5 and 256gb SSD plus 500gb HDD. It's such a slick machine. The screen is one of the best 1080p panels and the touchscreen feels like any flagship mobile phone. It's sturdily built and I love the multimodes. It's funny how video viewing feels totally different when the keyboard is hidden. It's kinda like having a PlayStation for videos/entertainment but using a proper remote over the dualshock controller. You can't overstate the difference in perception

It does look that way in that particular spot in the video-- it's some kind of distortion either in RUclips transcoding or barrel distortion. The chassis isn't warped.
On my lenovo yoga 3 14 the touchscreen messes up most of the time. The touch screen registers a touch when im not even touching the screen, then it spasses out and touches random things. so I turned it off.. is there anything i can do to prevent this from ocurring

My Yoga 3 14" is missing some of my key strokes. Sometimes it will not log the end of one word, the space, and only the last couple of letters of the next word. Have you experienced this? Do you know what the issue may be? It doesn't happen all the time and I love this laptop other than this, but it may be a deal breaker.

I bought a Lenovo 14" 256GB SSD i7 version a several days ago, it start up and shuts down within 3 seconds the only thing is I have had to spend 2 days calibrating the Battery the first time failed and the second time took another day, though that may be due to it sitting for 4 months as the guys from pc world had done a manual backup flash drive, also the free mcafee trail month was out of date - though I was putting my own Antivirus on it so Wasn't too bad but you may whant to be aware of it if you are buying one.
I've just noticed on lenovo's site the yoga 14 now comes with an active wacom pen. I'm really struggling between a more expensive surface3 with ntrig that has the slow jitter line problem, a larger screen hP spectre that you recommend be paired with a dell synaptic pen but with less fluid response, and now potentially a large screen yoga with pen. Note that I want it for fairly serious drawing and illustration, but I'm not really considering a companion because of cost, bulk, and general aesthetics. Any advice is appreciated !

Andre Lange You are right. This laptop's screen is too dark. I had it and took my money back and this was one of its problems. While watching movies, dark areas in the movie appear too dark. According to laptopmag, its brightness is below avg. with 224 nits (avg is 241 nits).

Guys just relax... So what if HP "copied" Lenovo, it's like saying that every one-screened flat phone is a copy of another phone. Also, companies do this all the time, using a popular form factor and making a device like that, and I must say, HP did a terrific job with the Spectre x360.

Hi Llisa, I bought the Yoga and it is my first laptop in a long time. I'm not sure if I was expecting too much but the fan has been noisy straight out of the box. It has calmed down over the first week of use but it's still quite loud. Is this normal? I assume that an SSD would mean a silent computer. Hey I was wondering if someone could help me out. I'm considering purchasing the Lenovo Yoga 3 (14inch) with 256GB SSD, 8gb RAM. The only thing really holding me back at the moment is the RAM capacity. I understand that the laptop can only house 1 module which is 8gb standard, however I was wondering if the motherboard would be able to support a large module, say if I was to replace the 8gb with a 1x16gb? Any help would be greatly appreciated
+MistaKasko Around 9:20 she mentioned that Ram is socketed. There is only one ram slot. She also mentions that 8gb is the current largest size SO-DIMM module. So maybe in the future if they release 16gb SO-DIMM you could possibly replace it. But not even sure if the motherboard supports it (probably does)

I recently got this laptop and everything is great except that there is a very high pitched ringing noise that my friends and I can hear (we're in college) my parents can't hear the noise but kids and young adults can hear them. Banininator Doesn't really just happen at the start. I got a replacement for it. The replacement got it as well. That replacement got "fixed" got it a couple of days ago and it still has it!
I would ge tthe yoga 3 pro fast but not fast as yoga 3 but I prefer yoga 3 pro cause it has better heatsink. Yoga 3 14 gets hot even if your just browsing 70c and loud fan.
No This doesnt have dedicated graphics, I play game on this mate and I tell you its cannot handle CS GO even low graphics. Although it still fast laptop but not made for gaming, that time I had worst game to download, also the laptop get hella hot 70 to 80C when yoru just browsing, the fan kick in to help nope it loud it just isnt good laptop.

Spectre, only going by what I can remember, the yoga 3 pro has Intel Core M processor which is a lighter version of the Intel Core i3,i5,i7 series. But honestly if your going to be running heavy applications, photo editing, etc. Look into maybe an i7 laptop for that price. I can think of the Dell inspiron which is i7 and 12gb memory, it is $999.99 but cones with a 4k display :). Hope this helps.

The one I want is the HP Spectre x360. However, it only comes in 4gb RAM with 128GB SSD with i5 in the UK. It costs £800, but would I better served going for the Lenovo Yoga 3 14"? I do like the prospect of more battery life as well as the look of the Spectre. However, the Yoga 3 comes with 8gb as well as a 255gb SSD and i7 processor here.
Leena siddig I decided to go direct to HP as they had it in more. I ended up with a 512gb 8gb RAM model. I had a couple of issues with mine, so I returned it because they couldn't guarantee that updating it to Windows 10 wouldn't bring about the problems. I figured I'd get one with Win10 pre-installed. I haven't seen anything quite as good for the price though. I'm now deciding between the 1080p 256gb and 1440p 512gb versions.

500 has no touch function- no keyboard light and the display is 13 not 14 as in yoga 3. but 500 has also 8 gb ram. better battery life on yoga 3

The display seems a little bit to dark on this Video. Is that right or did you chose the settings for brightness on low?
Display brightness was set to max and auto-brightness was disabled.

Anime4 Mii Hi fast? Is logging-in, multitasking and updating apps are as fast as a Mac?
Can someone advise me? I am information technology student. I always have to sticky to my laptop. I am wondering which model to buy Lenovo pro 3 or yoga 3 14?
Go with the lenvoo pro 3 is better then 14 I5, cause lighter and less heatsink and quiet too.
I had yoga 3 14 is worst laptop fan gets loud and temp get hot you can feel the air moving from the back vent even though Im just 5 tab open browsing youtube.

I recently got this laptop and everything is great except that there is a very high pitched ringing noise that my friends and I can hear (we're in college) my parents can't hear the noise but kids and young adults can hear them. Does anyone know how to fix this high pitched ringing noise. URGENT!!!!!

I got a replacement for it. The replacement got it as well.
That replacement got "fixed" got it a couple of days ago and it still has it!
So should you buy the yoga 3 "14" or the yoga 2 pro? Kinda hard to decide...
I would ge tthe yoga 3 pro fast but not fast as yoga 3 but I prefer yoga 3 pro cause it has better heatsink.
Yoga 3 14 gets hot even if your just browsing 70c and loud fan.

No This doesnt have dedicated graphics, I play game on this mate and I tell you its cannot handle CS GO even low graphics.
Although it still fast laptop but not made for gaming, that time I had worst game to download, also the laptop get hella hot 70 to 80C when yoru just browsing, the fan kick in to help nope it loud it just isnt good laptop.

Spectre, only going by what I can remember, the yoga 3 pro has Intel Core M processor which is a lighter version of the Intel Core i3,i5,i7 series. But honestly if your going to be running heavy applications, photo editing, etc. Look into maybe an i7 laptop for that price. I can think of the Dell inspiron which is i7 and 12gb memory, it is $999.99 but cones with a 4k display :). Hope this helps.

alot when the laptop get up to 60 70C degree. Its not a quiet wishper laptop fan kick in itself.

The one I want is the HP Spectre x360. However, it only comes in 4gb RAM with 128GB SSD with i5 in the UK. It costs £800, but would I better served going for the Lenovo Yoga 3 14"? I do like the prospect of more battery life as well as the look of the Spectre. However, the Yoga 3 comes with 8gb as well as a 255gb SSD and i7 processor here.

Leena siddig I decided to go direct to HP as they had it in more. I ended up with a 512gb 8gb RAM model. I had a couple of issues with mine, so I returned it because they couldn't guarantee that updating it to Windows 10 wouldn't bring about the problems.
I figured I'd get one with Win10 pre-installed. I haven't seen anything quite as good for the price though. I'm now deciding between the 1080p 256gb and 1440p 512gb versions.
