The Navy has a huge presence in Gaetz's district, providing jobs and economic stability. Dimmock may not have name recognition or money at this time, but being a former Navy pilot will bring votes.

This area is a closed primary. If you are registered as a Democrat you can only vote in the primary for a democrat. Also this candidate has a big uphill battle there is not name recognition for Dimmock yet.

I live in his district. You are correct about the Navy but also there is a big Air Force presence here. Dimmock entered the race late, and Gaetz himself is well off. If the ethics committee issues come up it could really hurt Gaetz. Dimmock does not have name recognition yet. However, this is a very red district- probably will never go blue but if there is another "R" on the ballot to choose from Dimmock has a shot. The State of Florida has lots of dirt on Gaetz via Greenburg so that may come back into play.

How do you decide which card represents a person? Is it a feeling you get? Is it that the card keeps coming up when doing readings? Or do you just mentally assign the card?
It kind of depends on the reading, the question, placement etc. So, like the 9 of Cups, I had originally assigned to Gaetz. But as the reading went on and the McCarthy energy/ideas came in, I could go back and "reassign" the card to McCarthy. Especially when the follow up question was with regards to McCarthy and the 9 of Cups comes up again. Now, I'm getting pretty convinced that it is McCarthy that is that card in these spreads.
