Hi, this is a really detailed video and very easy to follow thank you. I’ve just done the install and cannot get apple CarPlay to start even with the long press on the steering wheel. Car is a 2010 Audi A1. Is there a way to troubleshoot? I’ve double checked all connections.

The touch overlay is included in the pack if you select "Audi Multimedia" type in the drop down menu. As the touch overlay doesn't work for MMI high type of head unit. AFAIK I can still control the interface using the MMI controls, but what about voice control ? I am wondering if the built-in car's mic is part of the multi-function steering wheel. Thanks.
Hello there. Our current generation of CarPlay supports wireless connection via wifi and Bluetooth. You don't need to use the USB port unless for the purpose of watching videos or software updates. So you can just hide the port wherever you prefer. No drilling is required.

Hello Vishal. The touch overlay is optional to fit. You can choose not to fit the touch overlay then the installation process is quicker and simpler. It's fully plug and play so shouldn't affect warranty.

You may consider upgrade your steering wheel which will be more convenient. You can use siri with touch screen control or just saying "hey siri".

Incomplete. You didnt specify where to make the hole for the USB port. I think you will have to drill it somewhere right?
Hello there. Our current generation of CarPlay supports wireless connection via wifi and Bluetooth. You don't need to use the USB port unless for the purpose of watching videos or software updates. So you can just hide the port wherever you prefer. No drilling is required.
