@@watchlistsclips3196 I think there are some more detective ones, Rojst was set in 1980s communist Poland, but I have not seen that one. Also there was a one about a cop moving from Warsaw to a small town to solve a murder, also Nordic noir style, but do not recall the title

You should have included the Series TRAPPED from Iceland. I think it's one of the better shows in this Genre :)

Borgen is a fine series, but not the type of thing you can watch a second time round. Wallander, on the other hand, is also excellent, and seeing him going downhill at the end seems to show how many detectives, or other policemen, finally crack under pressure.
Um, you forgot Ragnarok. It's one of the best Norwegian series on Netflix.

I think Wallander is boring maybe becaus there is like 100 shows that is the same here in Sweden. I can recommend Johan Falk movie series for you, I don't think its on Netflix and I'm not sure if there is any English subs (i hope it exist) but look It up

I watched half of Borgen 1rst episode and I didn't like it especially the swearing and belittlement. I have seen enough of it in British and American shows. From Norway, I loved Occupied and Borderline. For me, they bring drama and reality at the same time.

The Swiss show Caliphate is phenomenal.
Oh my god how hard is it to not mistake Sweden for Switzerland? Caliphate is a Swedish show not Swiss. If you watched this video you'd know that people and things from Sweden are called Swedish. Switzerland is not in Scandinavia.

Steve Barcelos well then you should write in and tell them that they are wrong. There are the Nordic countries (Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Finland, Iceland, Faroe Islands, Greenland and Åland Islands). Scandinavia is only Denmark, Sweden and Norway. I have seen this misconception so many times and I have even had to debate it with my geography teacher

@@stevebarcelos9008 Perhaps if you read Swedish you would understand that definition says "sometimes even Finland". Which is only correct since Sweden colonized parts of Finland. Scandinavia is defined by culture, ethnicity, language and geography. Finland is only geographically nearby, Finns don't belong to the Scandinavian-Germanic ethnic group, they don't speak a Germanic or even Indo-European language.

Finland is a part of the Nordic region. Not Scandinavia.
It is depending on what you define as Scandinavia. In its most limited definition yes but with definitions of ethnic-cultural regions, the boarders are often blurry. Since Finland has had a history of Swedish rule, it gets grouped up with Scandinavia. Oxford English dictionary defines Scandinavian as consisting of Norway, Sweden and Denmark and sometimes also Iceland, Finland and the Faroe Islands.

@guest 1 It is just like the term Yankee. Everyone outside America uses the term to refer to any American. American and Yankee are treated as synonyms. But inside America, no one outside of the Northeast and maybe parts of Midwest says they are included in it. No one in the west, mountains, plains and the south really thinks they are Yankees (and God help you if you use it on anyone south of the Mason-Dixon line). Definitions of words are relative to the culture using them.
