- Here is our latest series of videos that document our family holiday to France this year (2023) - We loved every minute of it and even got to stay at 3 x campsites - All the usual jovialities and campsite tours will be in these videos and of course, your favourite bits - THE OUTTAKES haha!

I would have put that awning up at every stop. That Vango you have is like a 15 minute job max. Enjoying the France vids. We are thinking of just going with the Tent and the Landcruiser this year, as we are selling the small caravan. Don't want to be towing in Europe ever again. Plan is to get the VW California Ocean, but need to consolidate finances a bit first.

Hi mate, I wanted to do Europe in my T5 this summer too, but glad I didn't, that heat would have killed my Mastiff inside or outside the van.

Lovely to see you travelling abroad. If you fill a flask up at night then you can have a hot drink as soon as you wake up. Take care Gill
Don’t forget plenty of sun protection especially for Olivia, sunburn long term risks are much greater for the young. Sunbath early morning or late afternoon protection factor 20 plus even under t-shirts etc (t-shirt may only be spf 5 or less). Rest of the time in the shade. Even a few bouts of sunburn can increase risk a lot. Although I expect this advise is too late for this trip. Great to see you all enjoying the trip.

We are in Riva del garda at the moment, hotel. But if camping is you're thing, this place is a must. Loads of camp sits next to the lake, biking heaven mountain and valleys. Give a look. I know it's a trek, but now your foot is in the water,jump 😅😊
We arrived back from France a few days before you set off. 2 adults, 2 kids and a 10 month old Golden Retriever! Fantastic having the doggo with us but very limiting with what we could do due to the heat. Was 37/38 degrees around Lake Annecy and we travelled all the way down to Monaco. We did the tunnel which is ace but might consider the ferry from Portsmouth next year. Look forward to the next episode 👍🏻 DOC 😎
Ditch the suitcases next time,we use packing cube to save space and that constant moving stuff from back to front and vice versa❤

Looks great Colin and family. Earlier this year we visited Bordeaux in our VW - we’re nearing the end of a 4 week trip to Burgundy right now and documenting it all on here. France is so van friendly. Heading back to Yorkshire next week. Take care D&B

Looks ace. Contemplating the same next year. We've ditched the awning and gone with a tent. It is much easier and more flexible (weirdly). Have an awesome time. Less filming...more chilling you splendid people

Yeah all was good, I think it's because we left the boat and passport control so quickly, we didn't have time to adjust 🤣🤣

Re: trunks, we've been asked to change before (about 5 years ago when we last went) the second campsite we stayed at didn't enforce that rule though 🤣

Which apps did you use for the campsites please? It will be my first time in France next year but with the hound. We are going out of season though because of the dog.
Hey, we just searched on Google. We looked at where we wanted to go on the map then searched for sites in that area. Then RUclipsd their promo videos to see if it was suitable....
