It's nice to see a young family enjoying themselves without the need to embellish their experience with over the top spending; well done, a truly refreshing back to basics honest portrayal of a family holiday
Love this!! Have a fabulous time and I wish more dog owners were as responsible!! I’m sure Branston is having a fabulous time with Nannie and Grandad!!
I would have put that awning up at every stop. That Vango you have is like a 15 minute job max. Enjoying the France vids. We are thinking of just going with the Tent and the Landcruiser this year, as we are selling the small caravan. Don't want to be towing in Europe ever again. Plan is to get the VW California Ocean, but need to consolidate finances a bit first.
Don’t forget plenty of sun protection especially for Olivia, sunburn long term risks are much greater for the young. Sunbath early morning or late afternoon protection factor 20 plus even under t-shirts etc (t-shirt may only be spf 5 or less). Rest of the time in the shade. Even a few bouts of sunburn can increase risk a lot. Although I expect this advise is too late for this trip. Great to see you all enjoying the trip.
Great vlog you lot. Will give us all a valuable insight into travelling over to France. Great out takes as well, just shows how much time an effort you all put into your videos. Enjoy the rest of your adventure
We are in Riva del garda at the moment, hotel. But if camping is you're thing, this place is a must. Loads of camp sits next to the lake, biking heaven mountain and valleys. Give a look. I know it's a trek, but now your foot is in the water, jump 😅😊
We arrived back from France a few days before you set off. 2 adults, 2 kids and a 10 month old Golden Retriever! Fantastic having the doggo with us but very limiting with what we could do due to the heat. Was 37/38 degrees around Lake Annecy and we travelled all the way down to Monaco. We did the tunnel which is ace but might consider the ferry from Portsmouth next year. Look forward to the next episode 👍🏻 DOC 😎
Loved the video - I feel I’m on holiday with you, so thank you for taking me. I’m really glad you left Branston behind - for the reasons you stated - very wise, even though I know you will miss him. Looking forward to episode 2. 💕🐾💕🐾💕🐾
Looks ace. Contemplating the same next year. We've ditched the awning and gone with a tent. It is much easier and more flexible (weirdly). Have an awesome time. Less filming...more chilling you splendid people
Brill video mate, looking forward to the next instalment, I’ve been saying nice around the house since I subbed to your channel now my wife and teenage kids are all saying it too…Nice
Looks like a brilliant start to your holidays. Nice to see Michelle and Olivia and a wise choice to leave Branston at home.Looking forward to your next video 👍
Looks great Colin and family. Earlier this year we visited Bordeaux in our VW - we’re nearing the end of a 4 week trip to Burgundy right now and documenting it all on here. France is so van friendly. Heading back to Yorkshire next week. Take care D&B
Fantastic video as always, great to see you go abroad, assume after you stopped all was good, I worry about getting phased or overwhelmed when we go - first time and all that 🤔 Looked a nice site and great to hear the coffee is good 😀 Enjoy! 🇫🇷 All the best, David & Rachel 👍
Looking forward to this series. We are hoping to do France in our van next year. Just out of curiosity, whats the rule about the trunks?? Why can't you wear normal swim shorts, surely thats not enforced? 😂
Ah that's awesome buddy.... you'll love it if you go. Re: trunks, we've been asked to change before (about 5 years ago when we last went) the second campsite we stayed at didn't enforce that rule though 🤣
@@Yorkshirepoptopadventures thanks for the reply, we are planning our France trip next year and are currently binging your videos 😁 We hope to come to the next big meet up 🤙🏼
Which apps did you use for the campsites please? It will be my first time in France next year but with the hound. We are going out of season though because of the dog.
Hey, we just searched on Google. We looked at where we wanted to go on the map then searched for sites in that area. Then RUclipsd their promo videos to see if it was suitable.... Hope that helps
Hi hope you're all having a great time could i ask you if you still have the fiido bike if so would it be possible for me and my wife to have a look at it in person sometime as we are thinking about buying one Stephen

Lovely to see you travelling abroad. If you fill a flask up at night then you can have a hot drink as soon as you wake up. Take care Gill
Great vlog pal glad the van life culture t-shirt fits well
Love it matey.... Thanks so much ;)
By the way we are avid viewers to your site, recon we have played all of your episodes at least 6 times each. Well done Colin, love it.
The name for the shorts / trunks for the pool you were looking for is -
' budgie smugglers '.

Ace that mate, we prefer April/May or September/October when doing Europe purely because of the heat, glad you all got away for a break 👌👍
Ditch the suitcases next time,we use packing cube to save space and that constant moving stuff from back to front and vice versa❤
génial comme d'habitude Colin 😂🤜🏻

Will be following this adventure ❤
Hi mate, I wanted to do Europe in my T5 this summer too, but glad I didn't, that heat would have killed my Mastiff inside or outside the van.
Love following your journeys 👍👍 great video guys 👌
Have a great time all of youze 😁

Yeah all was good, I think it's because we left the boat and passport control so quickly, we didn't have time to adjust 🤣🤣

Stephen
Hey thank you, yea we still have the smaller folding one (if that's the one you mean). Are you local to Leeds?
@@Yorkshirepoptopadventures hi yeah I live at birstal just outside leeds
To be fair.. the T2 windows don't add anything to security so I expect the owner carried a rucksack full of their belongings to the toilet😂
no way this is gonna be a good on i’m telling u now
I’m a Yorkshireman who’s lived in Scotland for 17 years, and guess what ? They pronounce Portsmouth, ports mouth 😂
Shit. Wanted to be firsg😂. Never mind . Had a beer ; spelling might give it away🤣🤣
Did you have to get a "crit-air" sticker for the van? How about anything else?
I did mate yeah, we have a video soon of all the things we needed to take ;)
Awh, that's brilliant. We look forward to seeing it.
He looks like a blood donor you couldn't say no😂😂😂
Haha took me a minute 🤣🤣🤣
Why an earth do you keep going on about coffee all the time
Haha because I'm a coffee snob mate 🤣🤣
Well I’m disappointed we didn’t get to see you in tight tight swimwear ! 😅🙈.
Only reason I watch the video 🤪🤣.
Colin. Stop. French coffee… really? You must have been tired from driving, Ill let you off.
Hahahahaha well, it was Colombian coffee made by a French person so 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
