It’s surreal how dudes are ROUTINELY getting solve times that are less than half the time of the world record solve from when I first got into cubing. In how many sports/skills is a world record beaten by a factor of 2 in just a little over a decade?
I said it in another comment, but congratulations again to Matty on one of the most incredible solves we’ve ever seen, at least in terms of the moves performed. The execution had a few small mistakes, but that doesn’t take much away from the overall impressiveness of the solve.
This season of monkey league has been so entertaining so far! Ruihang, Matty, Tymon, and Leo make it very interesting and competitive. The grand finals will be very entertaining this season.

@@johnlynch9940 Ah yes, good rng in a competitive environment that contains rng is unfair, lovely. If you think it’s unfair, idk what to tell ya man, that’s just how it works. You don’t get record performances in harder conditions than average, and sometimes not even in average conditions.

every analysis of more than 2 mins that happens in a few seconds. Wow, especially Matty can change the color from the white cross to a blue cross to skip solving time, amazing!!!!

Can’t believe no one’s mentioned his timer stop and how close is was to a +2. I think it looks good from what we see in this video, but the index finger on his left hand is DANGEROUSLY close to touching the cube as his hands hit the timer. How long until we employ replay review in cubing? 😂
