    We had 2 1350's they were replaced by 1450's, but never a 1400. Beautiful machine and great video. All the crane videos I see are always overseas, glad to see one here in the states

    Great video. Sometimes I'm a driver/rigger or the assist crane. I think they're amazing but it's so much work to assemble, sometimes for 2 picks. I'd much rather stick with the smaller cranes personally.

    amazing! I never get tired of seeing a full luffing jib. I have the 1/50 models of the smaller and bigger brothers 1350 and 1500 with luffing jibs and never get tired at looking at them even though they are only 2.5m or so.... the real thing is always better ;)

      A unit like this can go up to 4 ton. Probably around 25-30 meters radius...

    Why do they put a lattice attachment instead of using a telescopic boom on its full extension?

    • @Brian_P
      @Brian_P 3 года назад +6

      This crane has 197 feet/60m of main boom. They are designed to work with luffing jib for height/long radius and heavy closer lifts on main boom. This job would be impossible with main boom since the longest telescopic boom is around 330'/100m. You need to have verticle height as close to verticle/90° as possible to keep the crane close to the building. Luffing jib allows you to achieve great a radius while keeping the boom clear of the building as the luffing jib articulates on top of the main boom. While the main boom generally stays at a 70+ degree angle the jib can luff up and down to achieve the radius and height needed.

    Quick question for those who have both their class A & NCCCO..I got my class A looking foward on getting my NCCCO license. Is it worth it doing it on my own or im i better of going threw a union? My thought is just getting it on my own & applying to union jobs with both of my class A & NCCCO licenses cuz i know alot of jobs have seniority & wont give a chance to new guys..

    • @niklscalemodel
      @niklscalemodel  9 месяцев назад

      Just join a union and train there for free then take you test. Best practice is on the job. If your in the dfw area we need drivers. Then you can see how things operate and train for your test.
