Just got one. I knew about the recall. I have not fired it yet, I just got it today and it's getting sent in for the recall work before I do. I'll keep you posted of how it runs after it comes back.
@NeighborhoodDada Yes, I was in contact with Tisas and it was already done. I still have not gotten to the range yet, been working so much and involved in the family stuff. I can say that it is a solid pistol that is put together well. Lockup is solid, no slide wiggle or rattle with it.
Bought the same model.. 15 rounds into the box of FMJ and the front sight pin flew out leaving the front sight hanging off. I sent it back to them to fix. We shall see how long that takes
I can say from personal experience that they are quick on getting things shipped in and shipped out. I also can say i had to send mine back several times they finally upgraded my gun to the model above this one
I definitely would be pissed about this if I put $500. into a gun. I heard some good reviews despite being a budget gun but I try to watch reviews on youtube for a gun im interested in. I have a Ruger SR1911 which is considered a budget gun for around the $700 range, and was considering trading it for a Colt Competition 1911 which is around the $900 range but I saw mixed reviews for a Colt which cost more so I'm happy with my Ruger.
yeah this has been a headache 3rd time sending it back and they have replaced the gun with the model above it just received it 2 weeks ago so we will see if this one does any better
I've owned mine for almost a year and havent had any issues. Nowadays they should not need to be sent in for any recalls. I've ran about 500 rounds through and the only hiccup is the slide doesn't lock back all the time but that might be my grip.

Recall should have already been done if you just got it a few months ago. If the box had a green QC sticker that means they did the recall repair.

am planning on getting this in 9, cheaper ammo so more range fun.

Yes your gun will come back dirty after repairs...what did you expect? 😂 if this was a custom shop 3000$ gun, i would see your point here.
