GameCube was honestly my favourite console growing up. When the N64 came out I was 6 years old and thought this was the greatest console I've ever played...that is until the GameCube came out. What struck me to liking this console more than the N64 was the controller, style of the console and library of games plus having a carrying handle installed was the greatest invention ever for when you wanted to game-on-the-go to a friend's house. F-Zero GX, LoZ Wind Waker/Twilight Princess, Star Wars Rogue Squadron etc. were some of my favourites!
Definitely innovative and desperately needed as the N64 to me was a bit disappointing. I too love the controller, and a pretty solid library! You definitely have a solid list of favorites for sure my friend, thank you as always for watching! It’s appreciated!!!
F - zero needs to make a comeback. Its been a very , very long time since we had one . Theres been no f - zero games realeased on Nintendo switch . Not even the wii u had an f - zero game which is lame.
The team broke up is why, they ended up making Neo Fast racing for Wii U and Fast RMX for the Switch. Check them out, you’ll find the speed and music almost identical but the vehicles are kinda like Wipeout

Tetris Worlds for the GameCube: IMO a hidden gem... even though you could make a list of baffling design errors with many of the game modes, NEVERTHELESS...
Gamecube has some quality exclusive wrestling titles too. For those interested in that sort of thing. The Day of Reckoning games in particular are bangers 😎

I didn't have a gamecube, but it's a console I find kind of fascinating. To me it feels both retro and modern at the same time- I think it's partly because a lot of the games (in particular the Nintendo games) on it use really good art styles that have aged extremely well. Good video Rob!

I wish i still had friends to play some coop games on the gamecube. I play it almost every week and i have all the games you showed (90 games in my collection). Its not the same playing alone compare to having a friend on a couch. That's a feeling i wish i could recreate more often.

So many great games, I'm surprised I actually knew and played all of them, Viewtiful Joe, F-Zero and Battalion Wars are the ones I had the most fun with back in the day for sure. Sadly I sold my GameCube and my collection back in the day since I was broke and I needed the money, I still regret it to this day, but thankfully nowadays we've got pretty much perfect emulation because the prices for many of these games are silly especially considering what I sold my collection for back in the day. 🤷♂
Yeah, a lot of people have said to me they s sold their game cubes. I remember selling mine also but since I got back into it I use the Wii now, and it’s nice and cheap! I have a lot of these titles emulated too though! Very convenient!

I used to have about 60 GameCube games but they got traded off when I had no job . Now that i have a job . Ive found out they are too expensive. So i should've kept what i had . Cause I had a pretty good amount before . But now i have a GameCube again and about 15 games .
Yeah, sadly they are crazy expensive right now and forcing some into emulation. I also started recollecting last year but just getting back the ones I love or know I want to play again 🤷🏼♂️
I really regret missing out on GameCube back in the day. I really want to play through a lot of the first party titles including the Luigi’s Mansion series, Super Mario Sunshine, and Star Fox Adventures. I just love the worlds that Nintendo creates, even if they aren’t always super challenging. Luckily, I did catch up on the Metroid Prime series on the Wii. I need to see how much some of these games are on the Switch store and maybe start making my way through them. Thanks for sharing some great suggestions!
I went the easy route and got a modded GameCube and saved a few thousand bucks easily.Prices are way too crazy. I’ll use all that saved money to buy more PS2 , N64 , PSP and Xbox games.
I won't lie; I got the GC solely for Zelda games with a few Mario/Smash/Mario Kart exceptions but I'd like to dive into the library much more. I do recall trying the F-Zero game and being just terrible at it (despite adoring the SNES and N64 entries). Luigi's Mansion is one of Lady Laci's favorite series--she's a Luigi girl! Our pal Peter of Waves n Games loves all things Wave Race. Man, we need a new entry of Viewtiful Joe--they were such fun games! Double Dash was fantastic too; so many hours sunk into that one.

I literally just started a new play through of SSX on tour since my old saved game got corrupted (thanks 3rd party memory card!). I know people are usually more fond of the 3rd installement but I prefer On Tour since it was the first game I ever bought for my Gamecube back in the days :)

Oh hey! That’s great, I got mine at Target too but it was random, and on sale for $99! The funny thing is I got it and then deployed to Kuwait for what was supposed to be 90 days but then the war kept me there for over a year lol, but when I got home I got a new tv out of it from saving money they whole time I was there! A 65 inch big screen (the kind on wheels!) delivered from Best Buy. Man, I was in gaming bliss for a long time!!! Had the HD cables also

Remake of Resident Evil on the Gamecube is still a beautiful game. F-Zero GX is a go to game. Super Mario Strikers, fun soccer game. Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes is a great game aswell.

I've had the GameCube when they offered it with a free game. My old system died and I had to replace it with another GameCube. I use a hdmi adapter called the carby which looks awesome on a modern tv. I have alot of the good games like metal gear, resident evil, f zero, star fox adventures, smash bros. Lately I've been buying the Japanese games . There's a Japanese exclusive smash bros like clone called dream tv mix world fighters which has some Konami characters as well as Hudson soft and toy characters. It's on ps2 as well but I have the GameCube version which I highly recommend

Awesome vid as always, Rob 😊. GameCube was my third system growing up, but second console generation, I have a long history with it hehe. You definitely had good picks for the video!! I never played Rogue Squadron 2 but I adored 3! Luigi's Mansion also one of my all time favourites; I had bought it about a year ago after I got a GameCube again for my collection after having sold the previous one (which i sorely regret, a long with so many great stuff I will probably never get back, but I digress) and about a month ago, I accidentally dropped the disc on the floor without realising it and the next day I found it when I was cleaning.. aaand it had a massive scratch on it and the inner circle was cracked, it didnt even spin when I tested it.. cost me $100 AUD haha, like you mentioned how they are expensive!! Australian prices are soo bad for retro games! The only other game I have for it atm is Super Mario Sunshine. Some of my favourites growing up with the system were: Paper Mario The Thousand Year Door (which I am super happy is getting a Switch remake!), Mario Power Tennis (I am a massive Tennis fan and player hehe) and The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker, just to name a few!. Oh hey! That’s great, I got mine at Target too but it was random, and on sale for $99! The funny thing is I got it and then deployed to Kuwait for what was supposed to be 90 days but then the war kept me there for over a year lol, but when I got home I got a new tv out of it from saving money they whole time I was there! A 65 inch big screen (the kind on wheels!) delivered from Best Buy. Man, I was in gaming bliss for a long time!!! Had the HD cables also

Remake of Resident Evil on the Gamecube is still a beautiful game. F-Zero GX is a go to game. Super Mario Strikers, fun soccer game. Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes is a great game aswell.

When GameCube came out I was like barf!! Haha I recently picked up a GameCube well 5 years ago or so and love it. It’s my newest Nintendo console haha So many amazing Nintendo games and new series too like Pikmin and Luigi’s Mansion. Very cool vid brother man! 🦎🦎🦎🦎 Give pikmin a try man!
Yeah I honestly only bought one because it was on sale at a Target and I randomly saw it on an endcap lol. But it quickly became one of my favorite systems! And I’ve played Pikmin 😉😎

Dude, you've got to play Skies of Arcadia, Billy Hatcher and the Giant Egg, Metroid Prime, Metroid Prime 2 - Echoes, The Legend of Zelda - Collector's Edition, The Legend of Zelda - The Wind Waker, The Legend of Zelda - Twilight Princess, Paper Mario - The Thousand-Year Door, and Bomberman Generation!
If you find any of those out in the wild, be sure to snag them if they're dirt cheap. I love the Gamecube, awesome little beast machine, for sure.

I've had the GameCube when they offered it with a free game. My old system died and I had to replace it with another GameCube. I use a hdmi adapter called the carby which looks awesome on a modern tv. I have alot of the good games like metal gear, resident evil, f zero, star fox adventures, smash bros. Lately I've been buying the Japanese games . There's a Japanese exclusive smash bros like clone called dream tv mix world fighters which has some Konami characters as well as Hudson soft and toy characters. It's on ps2 as well but I have the GameCube version which I highly recommend

Kinda weird, when I think about my favorite GameCube game I think of N64 ports. So I guess the Promotion of Zelda that had like 4-6 games plus the Windwaker demo

You definitely had good picks for the video!! I never played Rogue Squadron 2 but I adored 3! Luigi's Mansion also one of my all time favourites; I had bought it about a year ago after I got a GameCube again for my collection after having sold the previous one (which i sorely regret, a long with so many great stuff I will probably never get back, but I digress) and about a month ago, I accidentally dropped the disc on the floor without realising it and the next day I found it when I was cleaning.. aaand it had a massive scratch on it and the inner circle was cracked, it didnt even spin when I tested it.. cost me $100 AUD haha, like you mentioned how they are expensive!! Australian prices are soo bad for retro games!
The only other game I have for it atm is Super Mario Sunshine. Some of my favourites growing up with the system were: Paper Mario The Thousand Year Door (which I am super happy is getting a Switch remake!), Mario Power Tennis (I am a massive Tennis fan and player hehe) and The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker, just to name a few!.

I miss my GameCube but I donated/lent it to a friend who was going through a real tough patch in life he didn’t recover from and actually hanged himself 😢😢😢
