How many rings can you make using white plastic ring sizing die before they ware out. It seems to me that they would get worn out pretty quick. Even if you are using them properly with coconut oil and annealing you rings. Thanks for the clear and well made video.
Bill, Yes you would do final sizing after the cones. Many times after straightening walls, I would stretch up, and do a slight reduction to form a more natural looking ring with a slight curve. Really depends on the looking feel you are going for as well as size.
Terry, Yes these sure can help to straighten a wobbly ring indeed. By resting the reed on the lid of the straightening set, and pressing through with a cone, not only does it help to straighten the inside but a wavy reed as well. Many find that sizing up using this system prevents the wavy while maintaining symmetrical ring.

Will these straighten a wobbly ring it it's not real bad??

Thank you Neil.. Appreciate that
Can’t you just use that ring stretching tool you have on the left in the background to do the same thing?
Good question. The ring stretcher in the background stretches and reduces, however will not stabilize the reed while stretching/straightening.
Would these work instead of the Swedish wrap method.
These are used to open a ring once reduced down to create a straight wall. Not a Swedish wrap method replacement. I sent you an email
Are these recommended for 1oz copper rounds? Those seem to chew up delrin/nylon tools for me.
They will work with 1oz copper rounds to straighten walls if properly annealed, after a Swedish wrap fold.
what size press are you using
The red one in the video is a 10 ton
@@legacybrandcoinringtools2956 can you use a 1ton
