I actually really like this type of game. I played Doodle Magic for months. Bangbang has some serious skill balancing issue. Some skills are just too weak and mostly because of the AI targeting issue. Air Blade is so bad and mostly because it's aiming to the side way too often and not hitting many monsters. Beam has the similar issue that when the monsters surround your Wall, it is hitting "side way" instead straight to hit more monsters. Weird AI. I do enjoy Team Up which Doodle magic doesn't have (yet?).
I was actually sponsored for the review of the game and it felt so fun that I decided to stick with it, but yeah, as you mentioned it has its drawbacks.
