Schokoladensoose Sweden dominated the whole match against the Netherlands! Even the british commentators said so! After the 90 minutes, the netherlands somewhat played good and managed to get a goal, but in the first 90 minutes, Sweden should have had at least 2 goals. Really unlucky. Sweden fought the hardest with a lot more passion, and playef better.

We actually did it! I never believed we would win against Germany and England. Both are fantastic teams, I'm so happy for the Swedish women's team. They were excellent this entire world cup. I'm so happy !

Great win for Sweden. They had less rest and injured players but they pulled through. Wish the audience went to support these teams tho. So many empty seats. Wish I was there.

Wonderful match play by Sweden pressing England early on. The Jakobsson goal was brilliant! The Swedes worked so hard in this tournament and gave me so many wonderful moments not the least of which was watching Miss Blackstenious perform on the pitch. There’s a woman of great physical condition and pure feminine beauty.
What about Fischer and that fantastic header off the goal line to deny England a late equalizer? She’s retiring from the game so what a way to go out strong. She’ll look back and remember that play with earned pride.
I’m so impressed with so many of the players on both teams. Very skilled match play but England was sloppy and playing some daft football defensively. That first 15-20 minutes of the match they looked lost on the pitch.
They had a better second half regaining control.
Enjoyed this match. I salute both teams and congratulate Sweden on taking home 3rd place.
Looking forward to seeing the final tomorrow.

It's always a "nonsense game" Phil when you lose!
It's a nonsense game full stop with FIFA in control. USA has the largest traveling fanbase for the women's game so of course FIFA are lining their pockets based on that knowledge. What we've seen is inconsistent refs, questionable decisions and political stunts. England got the 3rd place win last time, we were aiming for Gold this time and failed to achieve, so I kinda get what he means but maybe he shouldn't have said it.

The VAR is a joke. The head referee don't use it not even consistent. We should have had a penalty. You even saw it at VAR that it was so.

The highlight reel is way too short. Sweden hit the post two times in the first half. Blackstenius was so close to a goal with only minutes left when she lobbed the goalkeeper (and where it should have been a penalty but just like in the netherlands they apparently don't use VAR all the time?)..
Honestly I'm a little sad that we wont see a Sweden vs u.s. match. Now I think that would be a hell of a game

Normal movement when walking is still handball. The rule is normal position when standing still aka 'silhouet' position. Also for an attacker accidental handball is now a foul as well.

I say this as someone who was cheering for Sweden: these video reviews are ruining the game. Knowing every little minute detail of play is not a natural part of sport. It's unrealistic. Brushes against the arm, like the one on the no-goal call for England, happen all the time in every match across the world - without question.
If a blatant, out-and-out call is missed, sure, bring it back. But stuff like that, or bringing back a goal after being reviewed to have been a (literal) hair-length offside - after going totally unnoticed by by all officials and players - just doesn't make sense.
PostApocalypticSure yes I would like to see VAR used only on goal lines and red cards. Keep the human element of referees in the game
@@JohnMccann-ld3yr VAR is going to significantly reduce the number of goals - and therefore the attraction - of football. Maybe, in order to redress the balance for attacking play, the offside rule could be tweaked: as long as your back foot is not ahead of the last defender, which VAR would show. The rule would give benefit of the doubt to attackers. I like VAR in principle, but it will reduce goals by up to 25% as it now stands. A minimal brush of the ball against an arm - as in the Sweden game, could be dealt with by a challenge system, limited to 3 reviews, similar to tennis and cricket.
Hi from England, thanks for your comment. I have a couple of suggestions, because it looks like VAR could reduce goals by 25%! FIFA could tweak the offside rule - you'd be offside only if there is daylight between your BACK foot and the last defender, and there should be a system of challenges, limited perhaps to 3 correct ones, as in Tennis and Cricket, which would result in some of those "arm-brush" goals standing. Balance in all things ;-) In theory, I like VAR, but at the moment it's crazy.
