Here's the summary of the whole lecture:
How to avoid sins by Ibn Qayyim
.... prophet ( PBUH) said sin is what you dislike people seeing you do.
.. avoiding sins is an obligation, so better reward than doing nafil acts of worship
... first thing to know how disgusting and bad a sin is. Allah only makes sth haram that is very horrible and bad effect, not just for restriction. Picture the sin as a hateful disgusting thing.
... shaytan makes sin look nice or good. His trick is to change the namesnof things to make them appear as different and good. So need to see knowledge to know what is bad by knowledge.
... to avoid sins on3 must have shyness from Allah. Knowing that at every moment Allah knows about him, watching over him, and knows his heart. Arabi word Haya means being alive, so one with shyness his heart is alive.
.... b4 committing a sin, a noise in your head tells you it's wrong. Prophet ( PBUH) said That sound is the warner of Allah in the heart of every believer. B4 sin, do not suppress this feeling and say it aloud so u feel obliged to abandon sin. Say the word Allah and maadh Allah. Then immediately get up and move from that place. Because shaytan is there. Go to somewhere with righteous people around, an environment of goodness.
... when u walk away from sin, u walk away with an increased faith and fear of Allah. And a gomplete good deed will be written for you.
... thied way is to think of all Allah's blessings on you. And know that sins remove blessings definitely. Because Allah said if you are gratitude He will increase your blessings. For every sin, Allah removes a blessings from him due to that sin. If you repent, Allah returns that blessins. But persistence upon sin, blessing does not return.
.... Allah doesn't change the destiny of a people until they change what is inside them. Meaning when people go from obedience to disobedience, blessings and good state go from good to bad. Especially spiritual blessings like faith/ iman. Sins are fire that vonsumes blessings just as fire consumes firewood.
.... fourth way is to fear the punishment of Allah azzavajal. And get the knowledgebof hell fire and the grave. Make the greatest fear in life the fear of Allah. And yhat fear means you place a barrier between you and His punishment. That fear should prompt you and motivate you to do sth about it, and knowing that nothing can protect you from Allah's anger and punishment more than avoiding sins. Take the verses of describing the punishment of Allah in the Quran as a merci and warning for the believers.
Allah said verily those who fear Allah are the knowledgeable people / Ulema. Ignorance is enough to be deceived by Allah's kindness. Foolish are those who understand Allah's verses of merci and compassion in the Quran as the concession to sin. These verses are so that sinners don't lose hope of forgiveness not that they are allowed to continue sinning.
.... The fifth way and the strongest way to remain patient and avoid sins is to love Allah. Because you obey someone you love. Sins and transgressions are due to weak love for Allah azzavajal. And love for Allah is the greatest level of faith/ iman. Love of Allah means you wanna be in His company, look at Him, listen to Him, please Him, and hate ehat Allah hates. So sins are what Allah hates and you would hate them too.
.... 3 pillars of any worship is to do it out of love for Allah, fear his punishment and hope for reward.
.... 2 conditions of every worship is to do it sincerely for Allah and according to the sunnah of messenger ( PBUH).
.... there's a difference between a person who abandons sin due to fear of Him and a person who abandons sin due to His love which is greater. Love should be together with veneration and exhaulting Him, honouring and respecting His commands. This can be done by abundantly making zikr of Allah azzavajal. With this, when one sins, he rushes to repent and ask forgiveness because he hates knowing that he displeased Allah. Because the relationship with Allah is too precious to let go.
.... sixth way is to have self-respect, honour, and dignity. This will prevent someone from doing something that will humiliate and dishonour him. They purify themselves from environments ofbsin and haram. They dislike what brings them shame and humiliation. It's called al kiramah val izzah. He has too much self respectbto pass by wrong things with dignity. Allah says the believers are those who keep away from nonesense. Allah loves people with self respect and loftiness. Prophet(PBUH) said one of the signs of the hour is that the leaders become the foolish among them. So the only way a believer can earn self respect is to be around people of knowledge and eho have self respect and honour.
... the seventh way is to know the evil consequences of sins. Prophet ( PBUH) said every time you sin, there will be a black dot in your heart. If you persist, the entire heart will become black and it dies. Your face becomes dark, depression, stress, anxiety, pain, lack of focus, weakness when facing the enemy, confusion in all affairs, sensenof abandonment, being empowered by enemy, facing humiliation, internal fear and losing authority, wasting of time, failing to benefit from your own knowledge, forgetting what you've learnt, one sinnleads to another until the heart dies all together.
... the eighth way is to stop having worldly hope and dreaming about this life and having a strong conviction that soon you will depart this worldly life. If you realise we are only travellers in this world, the easier you can avoid the sin. Because a traveller determines to move each time he enters a town. As a traveller you don't pack up things you don't need. A traveller is light, quick, and ready to move. For a person in this world, this extra package is sins. Why do you want to meet Allah with all these sins and packs? Allah describes sinners in the day of judgement as people carrying burden on their back. Stop having so many delusional dreams about what you want to achieve in life. If you could ask anyone in their grave if they managed to finish what they wanted in this life, they will say no. Death happens quick and there is no one who can achieve satisfaction and peace.
... the ninth way is to avoid excessive eating, drinking, clothing, sleeping, and gathering with people. Because a motivation to sin comes from over indulgence in these. When the permissible is no longer satisfying he will indulge in impermissible. For example when fasting, most people don't find motive to sin. Prophet ( PBUH) said the son of Adam do not fill a vessel worse than his stomach, it is enough for him to eat a few morsels of food to keep his back straight. Keep a third for food, a third for drink, and a third for air. A stomach in relaxed mode is around 900 ml, so a third is around 300 gr/ml capacity. Otherwise you will be sedantry and cannot worship.
... tenth way to avoid sin to have strong iman/ faith, and that's the belief that Allahnis watching and fill the heart with the belief that Allah has prepared a punishment for the sinner and a paradise and merci for the believers. Prophet ( PBUH) said iman tears away, so ask Allah to renew iman in your heart. So the more you renew it and take care of it with acts of worship, the more it keeps iman refreshed and keeps you away from sins.

Laa ilaaha ill-allaahu, waḥdahu laa shareeka lah, lahul-mulku wa lahul-ḥamdu, wa huwa ‛alaa kulli shay’in qadeer
“None has the right to be worshipped except Allah, alone, without partner. To Him belongs sovereignty and all praise and He is over all things omnipotent.”
Oh Allah, our Creator, Al Jabr, Al Qudus, Al Qawyi... to You belong the best and most beautiful names. You alone we worship and trust, and to You alone we call out to and return ya Al'Hai Al'Qayum... Blessings and salutations on our noble Mursaleen, their families and their companions - may our entire Ummah be true followers of Your Religion and of Your chosen leaders and enjoy the intercession of Rasul'ul Allah s.a.w.
La hawla walla quwata ila bilah - Pour in our hearts the neverending concern and objective of pleasing You, Al'Wadud and envelope us in Your Love in the ways that befit Your Majesty. Make taqwa be the center of our existence at all times, and provide us with all that we need to pass our tests delightfuly and to see and appreciate the wisdom behind them.
The Beloved Guest is about to arrive... alhamdulillah, the season where we all feel compelled to thrive... the company that we yearn all year round, the one we dedicate to make our heart sound... the one that comes and goes in Your name, the one we so dearly wish forever to remain, the one in which we have everything to gain, the one we must never take in vain. Your Words revealed - all hearts healed. Allahuma, bless us and bring us forth on this 30 night journey, equipt us in every way to succeed in it every single day - for this, and all past and future Ramadans we pray.
Please shelter us from all that displeases You and make The Straight Path our home and our way of life while we are here. Increase us in knowledge and steer us clear from that which does not benefit us. Ya Al'Mu'izz, inject in us the ability to recognize the truth and to distinguish it from falsehood... allow us to see what is true and grant us the ability to accept it as the truth and endear it to us by making what is false appear to us as false indeed- keep it away from us and us from it, to You alone we supplicate and in all aspects of this do not let us procrastinate.
Oh Allah Jella Jalaluhu, You know everyone's needs best and You are the Best of Planners, so fulfill them lovingly and make us content and grateful with what You decree. Ya Allah, help us love what You love and hate what You hate... Endear us to what is best for us - illustrate the perfection of Your Plan in ways we can appreciate and understand - eliminate what we should avoid and don't find peace in and enhance what we should embrace and actively engage in.
Oh Owner and Turner of All Hearts, keep ours connected to You, cover us in Your comfort and light and provide us with ease whilst You know the true pain behind our wounds... and in this strengthen us to bare patience, remind us of the beauty in pleading to You for guidance, love, forgiveness and victory for You are the All Encompassing, Our Creator, the Most High.
Oh Allah, allow us to feel Your Presence throughout our every step... please provide us with deep understanding, free us from ignorance and debt and cleanse our sustenance by supplying us with the highest of halal opportunities in all their forms. Do not deprive us from fulfilling all 5 Pillars during our life time nor from visiting Your Holy Lands, and gift us with the priviledge of enjoying the end of our days in the one You choose for us.
Oh Allah Azzawajjal free Your creation from all forms of suffering, lead us into tawba and the wisdom of asking for forgiveness and the nobility of forgiving. Oh Al Aziz, return Your Masjids to Your rightful servants, and protect our ulamah by keeping their teachings alive and having their students apply what Your Quran and our Nabi's Sunnah have established, for us and all future generations.
Oh Al Mutakabbir, elevate our status and purify our past, our present and our future... make us and our descendants from amongst those that perfected Your Religion, and grant us victory on that Day. We beg You Allah Ghafur AlRaheem for forgiveness for our sins... wipe our accounts clean and fill them with abundant mandalas of good deeds to receive our book on our right hand and allow us to be from among Your pious allies... a Sabiqun, a Sabiqun. Attach our hearts, minds and souls to Your Message and grant us the incomparable gift of memorizing Your Words, the Quran... do not let us forget the sacrifices that were made in order for humanity and the universe to have access to IT... nor to forget those whom You selected to accomplish Your Mission. Cultivate in us the honor of learning your surahs inside out, but please do bestow upon us the miracle of also living each ayah.
Oh Allah we seek refuge in Your perfect words from every fitnah, from the simplest to the most dangerous... including from the trials of the Dajjal and the end of times... and every form of evil You have created... every devil, every jinn, every vermin, every illness, from misguidance and ingratitude, and protect our Ummah from Shaytaan and his agenda against humanity at large. Allahuakbar!
La ilaha illa enta' Subhana! Please purify, strengthen and unite the Muslim Family and the Muslim Ummah in ways that exceed our expectations and envelope our hearts and souls to You alone. Endear us to one another to the point where we want to contribute towards each other's peace with the best of manners - make those closest to us the coolness of our eyes and remind us to remain patient and consistantly practice gratitude.
Ya Al'Latif, put Barakah in everything we receive from You and in everything we do.
Grant us the strength and the wisdom you deem fit to endure what we may find difficult and beautify the trials You have set for us Rabbi in order to tackle each of them with love and sincerity. Save us from the punishment of the grave and make Jahanam haram for us at all times. Grant us a purified blessed death upon being submitted to You, after uttering the most sincere 'la ilaha il Allah' , and aid us in answering the 3 questions that define our destiny. Ya Rabbi, turner of that which ignites the human core by Your Majesty, cleanse our hearts until they are in a true state of purity and submission before taking us back to You in totality. Unite us with those whom You love most upon the resurection and enter us into every level of Jannah until we are able to finally enjoy YOU in Al Firdeous... let us be honored by your Glorious company forever and ever... We know and recognize that Your Message and Your Promise is true.
    Amin, amin ya Rabbi Alameen

Islam, they "believe" in a holy God but can't "believe" in his son. Islam calls their children sons father's and daughters. God have his son.

God is not a human being that he needs a family. A wife or a son . He is free of all humanly desires.. Allah clearly mentioned in the Quran that HE NEITHER BEGETS NOR BORN NOR IS THERE TO HIM ANY EQUIVALENT.. that's enough proof for a Muslim

We Muslims are not pagans like those who believe in God having a "son".

If god has a son who should we obey? God or his son? Normally a son inherits from his father? That in it is wrong and false and thats why Allah is the only god free from having children, he was not born nor does he have children or is anything similar to a creation. Btw the bible proofs already in many verses that Jesus doesnt claim god as his father
