I could relate. I'm 22 now, and no vanilla mob even remotely scares me anymore. How times have changed... But the moment I see Lycanite's mobs sprinting towards me and I think "Oh... oh fu-"
I decided to listen to this song as if I were hearing it for the first time, as if my first impression of it wasn't constructed in a pixelated blocky world. I let it take me somewhere else. It took me to a rainy place with cobbled roads and little houses standing shoulder to shoulder. A little foggy window in a nook overlooking a flowerbed on the wall just outside. A narrow dirt path leading to a little cottage surrounded by evergreen trees, freshly blanketed with white snow. It's amazing how a song can tell so many different stories.
I liked your idea and here is what I imagined 🙏🏻 I see a bright blue sky covered in snow-like clouds, all over a peaceful meadow surrounded by many trees. There are deer & squirrels & plenty of birds living and experiencing their natural home. The sun begins to set and we are all reminded of the beauty that is this world.. We find peace in our sadness, which is life. The stars begin to shine as the sky's paintings fade. We rest by a fire while gazing in awe.. We take a sip of our freshly brewed tea and bundle up in a blanket. We close our eyes and take a deep breath. This is peace ❤

I don’t always leave a comment on your videos but I’m always thoroughly amazed with the beauty in the simplicity of your music. (Don’t worry I don’t steal I always send them directly to your channel 😁)
I think Wikipedia has your answer: The word nostalgia is learned formation of a Greek compound, consisting of νόστος (nóstos), meaning "homecoming", a Homeric word, and ἄλγος (álgos), meaning "pain" or "ache", and was coined by a 17th-century medical student to describe the anxieties displayed by Swiss mercenaries fighting away from home.
this song is so simple, yet it gives me a feeling i can't discribe. the constant loop in the bass, the simple yet incredibly powerfull melody, the slow and quiet nature of the song, the hundreds of memories this brings back, it all comes together to form one masterpiece that no words can discribe.
Been listening to this before bed for 2yrs now, including through some pretty rough times. Settles me, even lets me go places in my mind. Like back to my childhood home and self. Cheers mate.
Yes, I have nostalgia, but I want to say how awesome your playing was! It sounded like there was a range of emotion in the music, absolutely beautiful. As an AMEB grade 2/3 piano student, I’m really inspired to get to the level you are at someday.
I just... heard this and started crying. I don’t know why. They aren’t good, or bad they’re just there. This game was, and still is my life.. and hearing this just flooded me with all these memories. I haven’t come back to minecraft since 2018, so no minecraft vids, or ANYTHING related to minecraft we’re in my recommended. When I came back last week, I didn’t know how to do anything because I forgot it from 2 years ago. But I still remember these nostalgic soundtracks. I’m thanking the RUclips algorithm for putting this on my recommended and ibi for playing this masterpiece. :D
Thank you for this. It gave me a little more hope since I didn't want to play the piano after years worth of emotional abuse and trauma attached to it. Minecraft has always been more than a game to me and seeing one of my favorite pianists cover this song made me feel lighter. Maybe I'll come back. I hope, and for real this time.
minecraft will only truly die when the last computer ceases to work, but even then, it will live on in our hearts. edit: unless humanity is exctinct before that happens. point is, minecraft is eternal
I can picture myself at a old age sitting there in retirement and remembering all these old precious memories. Life’s coming and we all have to deal with it
all i can think of after reading these comments, is how i will miss playing minecraft with my little brother once we’ve both graduated and moved on with our lives. We’ve built universes together, we’ve pillaged together, we defeated the ended dragon together, and we may never get to share experiences like that again.
So many memories. 360 days to pocket edition with friends and family and making crappy youtube videos, to the xbox live version and watching popularmmos, syndicate project, Ihascupquake etc., to now where everyone's harmoniously playing this game together. Now this is my breather game, too much toxicity I go to Minecraft, burnt out from a game, I go to minecraft, need something chill and relaxing to play, I go to minecraft. Such a wonderfully simple yet beautiful game with so much history and popularity. It will forever have a place in my heart.
People say “the hardest thing in minecraft is beating the ender dragon” but really the hardest thing to beat is growing up and moving on with these memories..
You feel the nostalgia surge over the flood gates inside of you, spilling over the edge. You feel yourself floating peacefully, wistfully, in remembrance of good times... and you smile. What a beautiful performance of a beautiful piece.
This song has been a part of my childhood for so long. I haven't played Minecraft in a bit. but this makes me cry. thinking about my old Minecraft worlds, the abandoned houses, the unfinished houses, my old friends, even the old dogs that I forgot about. this is a very calming tune and I love this video. just watching the piano be played is so calming to me. and I am happy that so many others agree with me. this is a complete masterpiece that I will never forget.
Nothing better :)

when I listen to it I just feel like I want to appreciate the sound to its fullest, keeping my muscles as still as possible, and listening carefully.
even after the video is over, I'm still speechless.
it's such an undescribable experience.
I remember reading something about how geniuses admire simplicity, I didn't understand why back then but I know now why.
I learned how to play this piece not too long ago. Such a simple yet beautiful and calming piece. Glad to see the C418 uploads, he's a truly unique artist and the way you play his pieces are beautiful :)
May Notch bless your hands for giving us a moment of the best nostalgia we've had
This is so beautiful I’m gonna try to play this
The first melody is quite easy and the happiness is immeasurable
i love your tone along with the soft clicking of keys in the background
this is the most ASMR video i have seen that isn't ASMR
This was such perfect timing. I mean, this would've been wonderful any time you posted it, but just before my early ish bedtime while neighbors are enjoying noisy fireworks? So glad and grateful for the peace of this music.
I don’t always leave a comment on your videos but I’m always thoroughly amazed with the beauty in the simplicity of your music. I’ve learned some of your songs and covers just by watching these videos and I play them for the residents of my local geriatric care-centre. My friends also always love hearing your songs. (Don’t worry I don’t steal I always send them directly to your channel 😁)

Me very time. I literally only cry here and can’t anywhere else because “Men can’t cry”
@@Crew7340 Men can cry.... :)
"When will you come back ?"
Your minecraft dog.
Don't make me cry
If that had one more line I would've broken down
O h n o ... MAH DOGS-
"Sit here, I'll be right back soon
Don't worry, one day, I will
Why is nostalgia so good and bad at the same time
Preach
I think Wikipedia has your answer:
The word nostalgia is learned formation of a Greek compound, consisting of νόστος (nóstos), meaning "homecoming", a Homeric word, and ἄλγος (álgos), meaning "pain" or "ache", and was coined by a 17th-century medical student to describe the anxieties displayed by Swiss mercenaries fighting away from home.
because it reminds you of past positive memorys yet that also reminds you of bad memorys around that time
@@umimorozov7450 I think it's more that the memories are good, but it hurts to know you can never go back to the times of those memories
Because it’s bittersweet. Wistful happy memories of a time that has come and gone.
words cannot express how amazing this song is. thank you.
This is like asmr for musicians, you can like hear the keys moving and everything
Ogod
this song is so simple, yet it gives me a feeling i can't discribe. the constant loop in the bass, the simple yet incredibly powerfull melody, the slow and quiet nature of the song, the hundreds of memories this brings back, it all comes together to form one masterpiece that no words can discribe.
Been listening to this before bed for 2yrs now, including through some pretty rough times. Settles me, even lets me go places in my mind. Like back to my childhood home and self. Cheers mate.
man i discovered youre channel few days ago
such a nice content
beautiful and peaceful sound... congratulations
Yes, I have nostalgia, but I want to say how awesome your playing was! It sounded like there was a range of emotion in the music, absolutely beautiful. As an AMEB grade 2/3 piano student, I’m really inspired to get to the level you are at someday.
Its amazing how a bunch of notes can make me feel strong emotions
crazy how music can make you feel
I just... heard this and started crying. I don’t know why. They aren’t good, or bad they’re just there. This game was, and still is my life.. and hearing this just flooded me with all these memories. Thank you, ibi. It’s midnight and I’ve found myself crying to your cover of one of, if not the most iconic video game song, ever.
You spawn
Looking at a tree
getting your first tools
finding iron
finding diamond
making diamond tools and armor
collecting 12 ender eyes
betting the dragon
and you hear this song

Beautiful recording! 👏 I love how it sounds at a slower tempo and with all of this acoustic noise from grand piano (hammers etc.). 🧡
This intense wave of nostalgia of me playing minecraft as a child
Its okay, I'm here. She's here. He's here. It's time to go now but thats okay because as you see these notes being played, for the last time, your hands turn cold and are no longer wet.
I'm almost crying realising I finally took hands on this green vinyl. piece of art.
The fact that i gained more friends in a game than gaining them in realife is phenomenal
beautiful. thank you this lovely music in these tough times
The people that disliked clearly didn’t have a childhood
Now the people who read this will only know how many people I baited throughout the 2 months :>
This proves toxicity in the community, I love experimenting with triggered people
Only the ones who I baited know their mistake and read my comment ;>

The noise from the wood either by the machine working or the wood hitting each other or just sound affect edited in, makes it so much better.
Boys: Cried when watching Endgame
Men: cried when they Saw Halo‘s last moments.
Legends: Cried when MINECRAFT ends
Jokes on you, Minecraft will never end
Minecraft never ended nor died. it just took them long to find the respawn button.😉
The legends will never cry, saying that Minecraft will never die.
Don’t make me think about that
minecraft will only truly die when the last computer ceases to work, but even then, it will live on in our hearts.
edit: unless humanity is exctinct before that happens.
point is, minecraft is eternal
I can picture myself at a old age sitting there in retirement and remembering all these old precious memories. Life’s coming and we all have to deal with it
Thank you so much for making this, it's my favorite C418 song
Thank you so much for covering this! It inspired me to learn it, too. It took awhile, but I got it!
all i can think of after reading these comments, is how i will miss playing minecraft with my little brother once we’ve both graduated and moved on with our lives. We’ve built universes together, we’ve pillaged together, we defeated the ended dragon together, and we may never get to share experiences like that again.
This is hands down… one of the warmest sounding pianos I’ve ever heard and I love it
Microsoft failed to recreate the C418's music style.
This is the definition of perfect
People say “the hardest thing in minecraft is beating the ender dragon” but really the hardest thing to beat is growing up and moving on with these memories..
*Whenever I listen to this, I cry.*
*Happy tears. :’)*
So calming. I don’t have the metaphorical words to express how I feel
You feel the nostalgia surge over the flood gates inside of you, spilling over the edge. You feel yourself floating peacefully, wistfully, in remembrance of good times... and you smile. What a beautiful performance of a beautiful piece.
redpepper74 you a writer? 👀
“Hello! This is stampy! And welcome to another minecraft lets play videooo AND another video!! inside of stamy’s lovelyy world!”
Missed you ❤️ Waiting for your originals
The piano hammers sound like skeletons moving in the background while you organizing your chests at night
omg it does! makes it even better
Wow, it's been a while since I heard this piece. Very nice
the visual of this is so bright somehow while wet hands is just so nostalgic and sad
Seems like such a simple tune. Playing it like this, like it is all pure velvet, is not simple.
imagine a mad-lad washing his hands, not drying them, and then playing this song on a piano
wet hands playing wet hands
And the memories flood in...
its so heartbreaking when u realise u cant go back to the old days anymore...
It’s currently 2:13am and I’m bawling my eyes out to this, thank you
The most beautiful sound is the sound of water flowing
