I get that you have to press further on a standard controller but it's not like you need more effort or that it takes longer, as the same amount of force will push it further but still register. It likely comes down to personal preference.

The travel on the triggers is not a bad thing my dude. They're analog triggers so you can have different levels of throttle in vehicles. In games like gta they're sick. I mapped the paddles on the top on both sides of the back to the triggers too... May seem silly to have two of each trigger, but the main triggers are for throttle and brake, and the top paddles are for aim and fire. (The paddles can be remapped btw, the instruction manual is just garbage when it comes to translations) When I'm driving in GTA, the main triggers are amazing, especially in races, but the travel does make aiming and shooting way too slow so the top paddles having zero travel is perfect for aiming down sights and firing because they're instant. Is it as good as a fully customized $300+ controller? Of course it isn't. It's unbranded, mass-market budget gear. But it's also extremely versatile, and works with a variety of devices (ps3, pc, switch, Android, etc) and it's absolutely my go-to for GTA online, RDR2 online, Fallout 76, and every mobile game with controller support (pubg, Minecraft, genshin impact, etc) because I already spent $2k on my pc, $400 on my HOTAS, $400 on my steering wheel and pedals about $1k on VR stuff lol. I'm not doing it again for a damn controller!
What you need to ask yourself is, are the minute improvements with scuf worth the extram 250? id say no! Try the PowerA pro controller, cheaper than scuff but mappable buttons etc.

I have the same cheap controller the back buttons are remappable. Yes unless you playing simple games I wouldn't recommend this I was playing with my emulators this was awkward

The cheap controller is actually a rip off to the controller called t4 pro which is from gamesir. The real model is really good compared to that knock off. But then again that up to your choice weather its good or not
I can confirm he’s not just promoting Scuf Gaming. I have had 2 of there controller in the past 4 years and a lot of my friends have them to, they are good reliable controllers that are expensive but in my opinion I see it as money well spent

It is remapable. You have to press the start button and the paddle you want to re-map and press the button to map it into.
