I love the updates and how everything is progressing, but I will admit I find the tree of the week so fascinating. Keep sharing what goals the two of you are working towards, as you are knocking it out of the park.
Miquitos fly in your ears because the oils & wax in them. The wax & oil emit a scent that the miquitos love if your ears ate not cleaned regularly. It’s not just humans it’s critter too. Beautiful farm you have. It’s humongous!. 👍👍👍😊
Awesome farm setup and dedication!! Always a struggle with mother nature! Drought, bugs, torrential downpours, more bugs and HEAT. No choice but to push forward!! Cheers from Finger Lakes region of NY
You guys are so focused and in agreement with getting it DONE! I do not cease to be amazed at your determination and passion. Absolutely love your posts. Thanks for sharing.
You guys make great videos! I know how much work goes into it to make it all fit together but I love how its all random bits all strung together that all flow very well!
I’ve had poison ivy a lot when I was young. Nasty! Lol. I’m pretty much a city dweller now, so not a real problem anymore. I have to depend on people like you two for my vegetables. Thanks for all you do.
Hi Guys , sorry I missed last week. I've tried to watch it a couple of times but kept falling asleep, I know what you mean to have to sleep 😴. I'm gonna take apart my grow bags full of potatoes after it cools off. Can I reuse that soil? I have Green Sand , I think I need some thing else but I can't remember? Your Kitty is Super Cute! I know this one!Sugar Maples are all around me. I am so allergic to Poison Ivy. My Mum used to show me over and over and get so Mad when I kept getting it. It was because People burned back there brambles and I would get it in my ears and nose. It would pop up everywhere on my body 😲. Dang you two work hard ,don't forget to sleep LOL. JO JO IN VT 💕😄
Agree 100% on the goal setting!! We have been doing that for 15 years and it has helped us so much by giving us direction and something to work toward. Great advice
Mosquitos navigate by heat in part. Your ears (among other parts of your body) have a lot of blood vessels quite close to the surface of your skin, show up hottest on their thermal vision. "Fly for the hottest spot that isn't fire" is pretty much what they do.
Thanks for the update. You are such hard workers. Goal setting is a great topic for business and for life. I do monthly and daily lists of short term goals. Thank goodness poison ivy isn’t native in the shrub-steppe region of Washington where I live.
Mosquitos are attracted to heat as well as CO2. So when your sweating and the heat is coming out of your head, they'll gravitate towards that and right for the bare skin (cheeks or ears), or when you're sleeping, your breathing literally surrounds your head with CO2 and they'll naturally buzz around it constantly looking for a place to land, so naturally when they come close, your ears pick up that annoying buzzing sound.
Have y'all read Profit First by Mike Michalowicz? I highly recommend it to any small business owners. I think Tori would really like it! I saw a sycamore tree with beautiful white bark this weekend. I wasn't very close to it, so couldn't tell if it had alternating arrangement or pinnate leaves and stuff, lol. But I think I identified it correctly, thanks to Google. Hopefully that can be a tree of the week some day.
Man I know yall are hot! In Southern Virginia 97 today and lots of humidity. It can just drain you. I work outside like yall. Man yall be careful in this heat!
What lettuce are you growing during the summer heat? Ant suggestions to keep it from going bitter? Fresh salad greens are one of my favorite spring/fall crops but I can never seem to grow it right during the heat of summer. Thank you for your channel and all your knowledge!
13:10 We have sugar maples around here in Ohio. So, I also got poison ivy real bad, but as a dumb adult in 2019 clearing it off trees. It was the sickest I've ever been, and I've had the norovirus, appendicitis, and covid at this point lol. Not saying any of that lightly either. It caused an autoimmune problem where all my joints inflamed and hurt like I'd developed severe arthritis or lupus or something lol. Truly thought I wasn't going to get better, took months. Was on steroids for like 10 weeks. Now I have one single dead tree left with ivy, and I'm still afraid to deal with it. Going to get like a tyvek suit and a tractor then pull the thing onto my driveway and tarp it for a few years; idk lol.
Tips from Tori: any brands of long shirts and pants? I started wearing pants because of you. I don’t like being hot but I love not being bitten as much! Do you just suck it up and get drenched with sweat or do you have clothes that wick away sweat? I learn so much from you guys! We have a market garden NE of Raleigh
This is Tori - I get my shirts from Free Fly, and my leggings are from Curves n’ Combat Boots. They help with bites but also I think that being protected from the harsh sun helps! I do sweat a lot but the shirts are fly fishing shirts and have spf protection so they help keep me cooler!
Random fact: I love yalls intro music. Gets me going every time!

Sugar maples are a hard wood and great for furniture making, the skeeters fly in your ear to drive you insane...they are the spawn of satin.
Thank you for sharing ❤️💗❤️💖
Hard work does pay off....

I had to Google why mosquitoes fly into your ears, lol. Thanks for showing us a window into your week!

I love the advice on goal setting...now if kids come go ahead and set that on fire and hold on. 😉 I kid, but I don’t kid at the same time. 😂
I like the gool thinking. So 1 gool could be to provide for your on 🥞syrup for a year 😋 you don’t need much a cupola deciliter😆
Super Super Vlog
Love these updates. I so want to grow my garden in a similar manor. Just smaller lol

I wonder how close to your ear a mosquito actually is when you hear it?
My brother ever since he was a baby could close his ear holes. He would tuck it in and it would stay in. He is 31 and still does it to this day.
😯👍👍👍👌♥️
I didn't know that about Maple trees, but wow 40 gal to 1 gal. That crop isn't very efficient.
🇺🇸👍👍👍👍🇺🇸👍👍👍👍🇺🇸
I’m curious, do your neighbors love you or hate y’all? Mine would LOVE us, my FILs would be furious, guess who’s land is flat who’s ain’t? 🤣
lol they are very supportive
Mosquito fly in your ear for heat and carbon dioxide 🙃
