I raced that track back in the mid 1980's - some of the best memories of my life. I think my best finish was second in a hare scramble on a cold spring day in 1987. I still have the trophy!

Gotta be honest man, I don't know what he was frustrated about, but I suspect it had to do with some cross jumping and windshield wiper stuff on the track. Gotta learn to hug the bottom or the top when faster guys are coming up on you
Ya new clutch plates and shift a bit more instead of relying on the clutch. It’ll help your riding out and it’s easier on the clutch.

Looks like you cross jumped him and he got pissed. It's OK tho, it's open practice right? So he should expect someone might accidentally cross jump.
Shifting up one more here and there puts less tension on the bike itd be a lot smoother for sure but lookin good!

You cross jumped the Yamaha. I would have been upset too if a C class rider mucked up my Moto.
Be aware of your surroundings, since so many people are on this track. They should segregate classes.
Good luck brotha and change your clutch plates and brake pads. Try to shift between 2-3 more instead of clutching that big beast.
Or maybe the guy should rent the track to himself everyone has to be careful and watch for everyone else but if you were behind him would you launch near him
Yo is your clutch slipping really bad or is that you slipping the clutch? Your bike sounds like it has a CVT

I'm not trying to bag on you and know it wasn't intentional but you fs cross jumped the guy just before that. I know you tried to get a little style in the air but when its close like that its just not the time. I hate cross jumpers have been taken out by them multiple times (on accident every time but still doesn't justify it). I do agree that the finger is a bit much. I know you didn't try to cross jump just try to be aware of your surroundings a bit. Great video though bud!!!

@@DasanByrd you barely moved in the air, and the same guy who flipped you off did the same in the following jump right next to someone!! Everyone thinks they're better than the next guy, but you can't learn if you don't try, if it's that tight then the guy shouldn't have tried passing you so closely during a practice sessions with a mixture of riders like that.

@@DasanByrdyeah I've totally been taken out by a cross jumper before except he did it on the face of the jump and I had no where to go but right and flew off track and broke my clavicle with a good ol' concussion. Just hole your line as they say. Especially if it's not race day

If anyone thinks that was a "cross jump" you are being waaaay too exacting on that definition. Cross jumping is going from one side to another and that can even be ok if that is the fastest line.

idk if its just me but it sounds like your bike has a bad power steering belt. just a weird sound on the video when youre on the gas. sounds like wind in the camera mic maybe.

That track used to have the biggest tabletop in Ohio. On a 250 you had to give it everything to get over it. Seems like they have made it a little easier now
How are you liking that 450? Does it ever get away from you? I ride 250's and I'm contemplating getting a 450 for the bigger tracks.

Oh wow I don't know why I thought this was the 450. How do you like that bike? I am a weekend warrior and want to get some green back in my garage. Does the exhaust pipe sticking out ever get in your way when you are cornering and stick your right leg out? I've heard some people mention this. I rode my brother in law's 250X and noticed the pipe does stick a tad more than my suzuki, but not enough to be a nuisance. @@DasanByrd

Hey dude, practice shifting up an extra gear, sounds like you’re charging in 3rd on that 250f clicking up to 4th on the long stretches and jumps will help a great deal

@@DasanByrddude plus 4th, bike handles way better. When bike is wound out binds up suspension. I'm on a 450 but try to use 4th when I can, it doesn't feel as fast cause it's so smooth. I run the mph on my gopros. That helps me realize how much faster and smoother.

@DasanByrd ok thanks so much for the quick reapomce buddy. . I'm fixin to order a new set of bars. And been torn between a few sets. An this video, your bars just really cought my eye because of how stright they are. I've always ran as little sweep as possible. Don't like that Harley feeling lol. An ive been looking thru all the bends tryin to find something close to the ktm bend that's what's on a buddys RMz an they hardly sweep at all the feel really well. Ive always been a MIKA guy so I'd rather run these.if they are as stright as they look. Ida never guessed that was CR high bend looks like ktm low bend those 1⅛ or ⅞? Hell there bad!
But im kimda behind times right now just recoping from broken/ shattered tib, fib, ball n joint in ankle. An that was 7 year journey so maby some the bends have changed simce I was forced to bed rest for 7+ years an 12 surgeries 6 plates 32 screws an 4 bone graphs along the way lol. Been rough but still threw my leg over the seat the day they told me I could start putting pressure on it again 🤣 can't keep moto guys down but seriously thanks again for respomce an answer. Ill follow an like. Wished that track was close to me lol looks like alota fun an some killer chocolate cake

The dude cross jumped him right before the corner. Not on purpose, so the guy shouldn't have done that. But cross jumping is dangerous

@PainterFRO he went from left to right in the air..from outside to inside. But like I said, it shouldn't have been that big of deal. The guy should've just passed with out the bird. At some tracks I know to look out for slower riders/sketchy riders. All tracks should have staged practice in my opinion.

@PainterFRO you can't tell how much he floated over from the gopro mount. But he definitely did and that's why dude flipped the bird. It wasn't a major deal, like I've said 3 times now, but he did indeed cross jump.

You are cross jumping, not staying in your line, only full throttle when you hear someone behind you trying to pass, prob in A class riding like an obvious B, yeah you get flipped off, boohoo, try riding a local track in fort worth
“Staying in your line” is nothing but an excuse from soft people wanting to pass. It’s motocross, not the boy scouts.
If you’re faster, you should be able to pass.
Read some of the comments and judging by the video, you didn’t really cross jump. You could have stayed a little more left but honestly I wouldn’t be upset over that. I’ve had dudes literally go all the way across a jump and damn near hit me. Keep shredding 🤘🏾

Typically, the "faster" guy isn't much faster if he's upset about having to push to pass someone. ;)
Yeah I’m a b rider and I’ve had pro level guys cuss me out for not moving out of their way in practice 🤣 just go around it’s practice bruh
Definitely should work on your shifting, your rpm is often too low in the corners and too high at the straights, giving you no power and making a rough ride.
You’re in the right gear if you don’t need to use the clutch at all but for braking.

I ride a/b this was my first time at this track and I could definitely see why someone faster could be upset that I’m in their way. But flipping me off just makes them look like a punk either way and thanks for the tips brotha bikes in the shop as we speak 🤟 we grinding to get better every practice

The problem was the cross jumping I was only behind you for that little bit there and I should've been more careful coming up on you guys since this was the all big bikes practice.
