  • I found that many drone components were structurally ill-built and started learning to utilize CAD and Inventor to design better drone components. I 3D designed over 20 different types of parts, including motor mounts, rudder mounts, and wings.
This video was created for the students of the HomeSchool community. It provides an introduction to 3D design. Many students in the HomeSchool community became interested in 3D design after watching this video. The vase is not a difficult design, but it is an excellent exercise for 3D Lofting using the Inventor software, so I filmed it to instruct those who wished to learn 3D Lofting by designing a vase. I began by aligning four planes parallel to one another. Then, I drew a hexagon on each plane at a 60-degree angle to the preceding one. Using the Spline function in 3D Draft, I then drew smooth transition lines to link the hexagons. Lastly, I used the Lofting and Fillet functions to create the whole structure and smooth the angles.
