You see, the reason why Nathan went back in time was NOT to save them. It wasn't that they all lost no no no they won but remember he went back in time because he only saw the chaos and not the ending... You saw the barrier broken and the demons attacking? That's the only part he saw and now he's just back in time doing other side quests

When he was old enough to walk, thamuz began training him, slowly turning him to be one of the most powerful demon in the abyss, and won every fight he had with any demon. So basically, the Lightborn series skins are cannon to the story also we need Dyrroth's long time leaked skin called "Prince of Light" it even got teased in here, as u can see on his face.
