So far their reunion in September was amazing and it seems that both are planing a comeback and have confirmed that the Minsk show wasn’t their comeback.
I stand behind Lena. Julia constantly humiliated Lena, insulted her work, her performances, and always had to be the main one. As soon as Julia lost her voice, Lena was good to her... I understand that Lena stopped enjoying it. Somewhere Lena even said that her close friend humiliated her and told her secret in front of the audience, and since then she did not believe her. Anyway, I believe Julia learned her lesson.
I got to spend time with the two once and Lena was such a sweetheart. Yulia on the other hand. During their prime there were tons of fan accounts about how rude Yulia is and in one of the documentaries Lena expresses how tired she is of Yulia's disrespectful attitude and drama. So yeah, I can totally see where Lena is coming from.

I think they should have been given equal parts in their songs. I understand that Julia could belt it out more but her screaming got irritating....her hardcore fans act like shes Sarah Brightman or Celine Dion. She was never that great of a singer, even in her prime. Her being adorable and looking like a real life anime girl is what made her popular. And her crazy antics lol
I like both but I think both really played up to their characters, Lena was always the softer cute one while Julia was the hard tomboyish one. During interviews, in photoshoots, music videos, even singing wise it seems like that "yin yang" thing was forced. I think a lot of their problems stems from them being young/barley legal girls managed by some freak with a lolita obsession, the more I learned about them the more disturbing it got lowkey. If someone was to make a Tatu iceberg it would probably run deep lol. Still love them but from an adult perspective looking back it's odd.

She just wanted to be independent and do what she wanted without being pushed around by Julia and the Management team. I actually really like her solo work. Julia's not so much. To be fair neither one of them have had extremely successful solo careers. But, Lena does not need the money or the help. Shes married to a millionaire and lives a very lavish life and can pretty much do what she wants to do. I think she's fared pretty well overall.
