If, less active metal ( more reduction potential) is coated over less reduction potential metal (base metal), then why doesn't corrosion happens there ?? Why not base metal acts as anode and gets corroded? Because there is a difference in reduction potential between two metals, then why not ??
It will happen only if any damage occurs in the coating watch pitting corrosion and galvanic corrosion video. There is a clear explanation. Here both are not simultaneously in contact with the corrosive medium.
