If been on CX for tree months and the worst place to win loads is Birmingham, I don’t know how people make a living on CX living in Birmingham. I have my favourite places to win loads, and it’s a big lie thinking that big cities are good to win loads. Anyone who dreams to try CX need to know that some nights you have to sleep in your van if you want make a decent amount of money.
This is my fourth year on cx. Its got worse every year. Late payments , sometimes no payment at all. Over saturated with couriers who seem happy to work for peanuts. Courier industry for small independent drivers is finished. Ive only survived by getting some good multi drop work. Im done with courier work via cx.
Agree total waste of time drivers under cutting each other working for nothing with rising costs all round, don't waste your money on CX too expensive rising each year
Why Don’t you tell it like it is The CX is a Rip Off for Drivers who will struggle to make a living over the minimum wage, It’s only good for Shippers with Surplus job’s they need to offload because they don’t want them or cannot make enough on them & they know they can offload them to low bidders & make money on them, they Don’t give a ##ck who delivers the items or even if they are fully insured to do so 🤨
I did ask the CX what it was like as you suggest prior to joining and it was completely dressed up to appear good to join in order for them to get my money. The reality of earnings for a new courier was quite frankly pathetic. I get what you say about hanging on to grow your own courier business, but people have bills to pay in the meantime. I left before i could even get started. I claimed back my insirance money and cut my subscription losses based on the very different reality to the sales marketing and live demo showing. If the exchange cannot come up with a solution to protect driver rates without putting off shippers while still allowing drivers to come on board.. well lets just say greed is usually a road to ruin.
Definitely not worth new drivers joining, I think many drivers will drop off this next 18 months, we are still in difficult times in the economy and the cost of living has affected everything and ultimately slowed the movement of goods. Good to see you back making videos 👍🏻
It's actually closer to £2000. £124.99x12=£1499.88 + £149 (admin fee) = £1648.88 + 20%VAT = £1978.66 😮 so like you said, not something most people will just throw on the table without thinking about it
@@gtcharlton also when I've checked prices on 14/04 there was another subscription tier called CX STARTER. It was £99.99 per month and two things it didn't include in comparison to the £124.99 one was: no live maps and lack of load posting facility. Unfortunately it seems like they have removed it since then, as in my opinion it was a good entry point for new couriers who don't have end customers and most likely wouldn't need to post any jobs on CX for a while
@@Radziu03 What is "live maps"? I'm on the CX Starter, so wondering if it is something added I've never seen. (only maps I have are the "live map" of the available jobs and the "live map" of drivers within a certain range of me)
Cx need to change the way of work, when you take a job a list 50% have to be pay and the another 50% pay after delivery, can be after 15 to 30 days, so many companies is not pay you after the invoice date. Not fair you done the job and not get paying. Now this started get very often.
Hey, to be honest Big Beardy, from the things you saying it seems horrible, when I compare it to what I am getting out of other places. Now I know I am in London, so that helps, but I make minimum 90p a mile up to £1.40 a mile on a motorbike and I am expected to co load. In the end I am making between £1.30 and £2.00 a mile and that includes my dead miles and this includes two platforms still taking their cut on top of that. There is Van work too which pays more per mile, but I can't be bothered with taking a hour to drive 10miles until getting the bigger job. Also just to mention, I do distance work on the motorbike, did a London to Manchester yesterday for instance, so its not all tiny jobs before you think that. I am thinking of getting a Van and hiring a driver and letting him or her do the traffic work until picking up the longer one each day and ill do the bike haha.
Hey brother just seen this. I’m looking for the best value for money for work and I’ve got my own Van. Where did you find contracts and loads like these from ?

I did start the week in the life video. But I had to go to the midland as a family member is extremely ill. So will redo the week in the life for next week.
It's not worth it anymore! There's no money in it, too many undercutters, it's over-satured with drivers, it's difficult to get customers to post jobs, shippers tweak mileages on job posts, CX membership fees are extortionate, there's no secure payment system in place, their app crashes daily and has bugs. COURIER WORK ON THE CX IS DEAD!!!
Started with my own van in September/October 2021. In all honesty CX is not worth the money. It’s a massive outlay you can do without before you have even got started. They really need to protect drivers rates if drivers want to make any decent money at all. You really need to have other work on the go also as you can’t rely on getting the jobs on CX all the time. To make good money you need to do long miles, and you can only really do two a day, that’s if you even get the jobs. For someone like me with kids it’s not possible to tramp n the van. I know a lot of guys who did and it made it more worthwhile for them. I was using CX consistently but had to end up doing multi-drop on the side which is possibly the worst thing ever. Had to give my van up after one year as I couldn’t justify the pay I was making per month for my family.
Hey Beardy, hopefully you may be able to help me?! Which part of Norfolk are you located? Is it anywhere near Fakenham? I live in Rugby, and I know you often visit your Mum in Rugby. I'm scrapping an old car and someone wants to buy the bonnet off me, so I need to find a way of getting the car bonnet to the buyer...
Great video thank you! Do you think you can clear/net £500-£1000 per week after all costs/taxes taken out by on Courier Exchange? Thanks to anyone that answers 👍
I've seen adverts on job sites for companies like Citylink or Ricco where you register with them pay a weekly fee and they find you work. It's normally their contracts you're doing and they set the rates. Have you or anyone else used them?
very informative! I am a hgv driver, and I would like to change something in my life, but now after what you posted, I will think better! good luck! thanks for the information you provide!
Beardy you was very busy had lots of work. But the biggest issue is guys like you saying how good/ bad it is to earn a living.. Hence loads of drivers.. Simple fact every reputable guy working the CX system has earned great feed backs and quietly the work will vanish.. In your selling CX you talk costs/wages/info and If your clever person you build your business module.
