- How to knit yf (yarn to front or yarn forward) and skpo/skp (slip knit passover). This 2 stitches together form different forms of eyelet patterns. Here is one example of a pattern using yf and skp to form a slanted eyelets which the eyelets don't sit directly on each other. You can also place yf directly on top of each others and it will give you a totally different look.
Here is the pattern for the one show in the photo and video;
Cast on an odd number of stitches. All rows should have the same number of stitches.
Row 1: k1, *yf, skp; rep from * to end of row.
Row 2 and 4: purl.
Row 3: *Skp, yf; repeat from * to last st, k1.
Repeat these 4 rows.
