The name fits the way we see galaxies in photos. However, it is interesting to remember that those photos of space with all the colors is a way to know the chemical composition of the objects in the image as every color represents a different variable. To the naked eye, most light in space is white. 🌃

The entire time I was watching I thought the red and orange section in the middle down to the edge looked like a neat mushroom. I thought you had been aiming towards that the whole time haha! but then it slips off the canvas and I was sad :(
Really good job though, and I will have to try some of your pointers and techniques in my own pour painting.

Is there a way to get a glossy finish after the painting dries?

Well this one I used resin. Most of my paintings I use 2 coats of gloss varnish

Hi Brian, I'm pretty new to all of this but watching your video tonight, I ran in to my art room and pulled out my left over paints I had just trashed. I made up see black and a couple of new paints so I could try this.... it's on a round and smaller than yours but you taught me something tonight and wanted to thank you.

Would you have your paints on the thinner side for this pour?

Yea i prefer my paints on the thin side for this technique however these were thicker than I usually use.

I was really hoping you'd keep those mushroom looking areas in the middle of your tilting. You can see them around 12:08! That one was even there til about the end, but it still turned out really cool! Really like this one.

Wow, Brian, thank you for sharing these instructions! They're so beautiful. I did a practice run on a small canvas, and it came out really well. But before I waste more paint, as I've done so much in the past, could you please share your recipe? I can't seem to find it anywhere on this site. I know you're using Floetrol, Liquitex Gloss Medium, and a little water, but how much of each? THANKS! YOU ROCK!
