      Galatians 5:19-21
19 When you follow the desires of your sinful nature, the results are very clear: sexual immorality, impurity, lustful pleasures, 20 idolatry, sorcery, hostility, quarreling, jealousy, outbursts of anger, selfish ambition, dissension, division, 21 envy, drunkenness, wild parties, and other sins like these.
Let me tell you again, as I have before, that anyone living that sort of life will not inherit the Kingdom of God.
      1 Corinthians 5:11:
I meant that you are not to associate with anyone who claims to be a believer yet indulges in sexual sin, or is greedy, or worships idols, or is abusive, or is a drunkard, or cheats people. Don’t even eat with such people.

Granger whole heartedly backs up what he says! Talking about not doing the lords prayer, but walking through life with you... He has helped me along my path of giving my life to the lord. I turn to him when I have questions and he never hesitates to answer. Sometimes I feel like a bother and won't ask what's on my mind, and without fail, I'll get a message from him saying he's just checking in. Man, that's truly the lord working and using him!
Anyways, the service was great Sunday! Glad my in-laws got to come along.

Being drunk is (in Ephesians) the exact opposite of being filled with The Spirit . To “be drunk” is to become under (the influence) or control of THAT spirit (alcohol) Not of the HOLY spirit.
I love Levi luskos thoughts on drinking alcohol on Sadie Robertson podcast, the conversation starts at 41:10 and lasts the last four minutes of the podcast. The podcast is titled, “when God repeats Himself” it’s worth a listen!

I enjoyed this podcast and agree with all of it. Very good! Also, I just listened to your sermon at Clifton Baptist Church. Love listening to all your sermons. As a child I was raised in the Christian Reformed Church. At 16 I professed my faith in the Reformed Church and have been a member ever since. The doctrine in both denominations is so much like your church. The difference being we were taught to love God but was never taught about having a relationship with Him. So much about traditions. That has changed so much in recent years in the Reformed Church as it now teaches and encourages a relationship with Jesus. I wish you could talk with our pastor Kevin Korver. You both preach with the same enthusiasm!

What an awesome way to explain the danger of the sinner's prayer, Granger! I love that! I agree with you. Making a PROFESSION of faith is absolutely NOT a guarantee He actually removes a heart of stone and replaces it with a heart of flesh! (Ezekiel 36:26-27)

I've never had a sip of alcohol in my life but some of the deepest Gospel conversations I've ever had were in a bar. I believe drinking in today's world is a sin whether it be to mask a feeling instead of seeking God's guidance in that time or if it's simply to cut loose and have fun, you're self medicating in drugs changing the chemical make up of your body that God specifically designed (so going against His will) by drinking. I'm a product of generational alcoholism and refuse to allow my children to suffer in the same ways.

Good answers to these questions. I think about drinking that you have to be careful in partaking especially in public and causing others to sin. You might not plan to get drunk and are socially drinking or whatever but the person seeing you do this might think it’s ok to get drunk or have an addiction to alcohol. Many alcoholics have said they wished they never took that first drink. Also, how do you know the limit of how many does it take to get drunk? Everyone is different. Just my thoughts. Thanks for all you do!

Receiving the holy ghost, baptized in Jesus name and living the rules of the bible. Also always thought that alcohol was against God but i read into the bible more and researched and its true its not against god but making alcohol your god and abusing it by getting drunk etc like Granger says is the sin. But bible also says do not temp yourself with things that can basically make you of the world. Why i forbid it from my life. Destroys lives, homes etc

Anyway, I want to tell you, I’ve been listening to you and your wife for a few years and I really love your character and the fruit that you put out is good just keep keep it up. Continue walking with the Lord and I can relate to you about losing a child when I lost my daughter I thought I could’ve done more to try to keep her from going down that path of destruction, but the Lord show me that home we bring our children up an award, and if they depart, the Lord will bring them back and that’s what I did and I brought her up in the Lord she knew what she was doing was wrong but she was addicted to pain pills and so when she went to jail for 40 days, a woman teacher Bible teacher came in. I was teaching about king David , and she told me mom day I picked her up from jail. She said mom I found out that God‘s not mad at me. He loves me and she came back to the Lord so God does keep his promises. We just have to trust him no matter what like Job Job loss everything but he still trusted God no matter what happens in our life we can trust God we could trust Jesus just so sweet to trust in Jesus, just to take him at his work, just to rest upon his promise.

The thing with the sinners prayer is that most people say it, then just like you said, check it off a list and if someone asks them are they going to heaven then they say Yes! because at one time in my life i said the sinners prayer and was sincere. I did this and I did that, I I I, me me me. Instead of having faith in Christ and in His sacrifice they have faith in this prayer they said once. Faith in Christ saves faith in Christ not faith in something you did but in everything Christ did.

It's an invitation you can chose to before your fellow brothers and sisters and chose to accept Christ as your Lord and savior. Because a lot of times people don't know where to begin or how to accept him and ask him to come into your life. But just because you've said the words God knows your heart. It's up to the individual to then seek him more and how do we do that? Through scripture, it's important to get into a Bible-based church and to feed the hunger with the word of God.

I got saved when I was 33 I heard the gospel preached all my life. I went to church all my life as a child, but I ran from God. I didn’t want nothing to do with God because of the hypocrites I saw that went to church every Sunday that live like the world I don’t want nothing to do with that that Christian kind so when I was 33, I got convicted by the Holy Spirit, because the holy spirit convicts the world of sin, and God draws us to him so it is a work of God. Salvation is in the Holy Spirit. God drive me and the Holy Spirit convicted me upset and I repented of my sins and cry out to Jesus to save me from my sins and he heard my cry and wash me and his blood and filled me with the Holy Spirit. The day I got saved and for years later, my children started going to an old Pentecostal church and they asked me to go and I said I don’t wanna go there holy rollers, but I went to see what they were teaching my children, and when I walked in, I felt the presence of Jesus in that church and they have footwashing that service and they humble their selves and wash my feet and the love for one another was in that little Penecostal church. I felt that love and that’s why I continue to go there for 20 years because the love for one another between brothers and sisters no, I don’t agree with everything that they preach and so I go to the word of God and I test whatever they teach with the word but that’s what we do we use the word of God chess what a preacher is preaching or teaching or a Bible teach because there’s many false prophets out there and many false teachers so we had to test it bother the word of God and their fruit to kind of fruit they have because you can’t get good fruit from a bad tree and you can’t get bad fruit from a good tree, says the fruit and character of that person matters how they walk with the Lord

It’s still confusing to me. Salvation is a gift from Jesus that we can’t earn BUT… all the extra conditions make it seem complicated. As the Disciples said to Jesus (Mark 10:26), “Who then CAN be saved?”

Salvation is a gift from God, for all those He calls. The “conditions”, which I assume you to mean the things God calls us to do after being saved, have nothing to do with the salvation. Doing things for God, changing our behaviors, etc, comes out of the gratitude we have toward Him BECAUSE He saved us! He gives us a new heart, and with that comes the desire to WANT to please Him. Because He is worthy. Also remember that the things God calls us to do are to bring HIM glory, but they benefit US! We get grace and mercy through salvation, but through His plan for us, we get joy and peace! What an amazing Father we have!

      Matthew 7:21-23
21 “Not everyone who calls out to me, ‘Lord! Lord!’ will enter the Kingdom of Heaven. Only those
who actually do the will of my Father in heaven will enter. 22 On judgment day many will say to me, ‘Lord! Lord! We prophesied in your name and cast out demons in your name and performed many miracles in your name.’ 23 But I will reply, ‘I never knew
you. Get away from me, you
      who break God’s laws.’
      Romans 2:6-8:
6 God will repay everyone based on their works.
7 On the one hand, he will give eternal life to those who look for glory, honor, and immortality based on their patient good work.
8 But on the other hand, there will be wrath and anger for those who obey wickedness instead of the truth because they are acting out of selfishness and disobedience.
      Hebrews 10:26-27, 30-31
26 If we deliberately keep on sinning after we have received the knowledge of the truth, no sacrifice for sins is left, 27 but only a fearful expectation of judgment and of raging fire that will consume the enemies of God.
      EPHESIANS 5:5-8:
5 Be sure of this, that no fornicator or impure person, or one who is greedy (that is, an idolater), has any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God.
6 Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of these things the wrath of God comes on those who are disobedient. 7 Therefore do not be associated with them
      Matthew 18:6:
“Whoever causes one of these little ones who believes in me to sin, it would be better for him to have a great millstone fastened round his neck and to be drowned in the depth of the sea"
      1 Corinthians 5:9:11:
9 When I wrote to you before, I told you not to associate with people who indulge in sexual sin. 10 But I wasn’t talking about unbelievers who indulge in sexual sin, or are greedy, or cheat people, or worship idols.
You would have to leave this world to avoid people like that. 11 I meant that you are not to associate with anyone who claims to be a believer yet indulges in sexual sin, or is greedy, or worships idols, or is abusive, or is a drunkard, or cheats people. Don’t even eat with such people.
      Philippians 2:12-
“Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.”
      1 John 5:16-17:
16 If you see your brother or sister committing what is not a mortal sin, you will ask, and God will give life to such a one-to those whose sin is not mortal. There is sin that is mortal; I do not say that you should pray about that. 17 All wrong doing is sin, but there is sin that is not mortal.
      John 14:15
15 “If you love me, you will keep my commandments."
      John 3:5
5 Jesus answered, “Very truly I tell you, no one can enter the kingdom of God unless they are born of water and the Spirit.
      John 6:53-58
Jesus said to them, “Very truly I tell you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you have no life in you.
54 Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise them up at the last day. 55 For my flesh is real food and my blood is real drink.
56 Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood remains in me, and I in them. 57 Just as the living Father sent me and I live because of the Father, so the one who feeds on me will live because of me. 58 This is the bread that came down from heaven. Your ancestors ate manna and died, but whoever feeds on this bread will live forever.”
      Matthew 16:24-27:
24Then Jesus said to his disciples, “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross and follow me. 25 For whoever wants to save their life will lose it, but whoever loses their life for me will find it. 26 What good will it be for someone to gain the whole world, yet forfeit their soul? Or what can anyone give in exchange for their soul?
27 For the Son of Man is going to come in his Father’s glory with his angels, and then he will reward each person according to what they have done.
      Matthew 19:16-17:
16 Just then a man came up to Jesus and asked, “Teacher, what good thing must I do to get eternal life?”
17 “Why do you ask me about what is good?” Jesus replied. “There is only One who is good.
If you want to enter life, keep the commandments.”
      James 2:14-26:
14 What good is it, my brothers, if someone says he has faith but does not have works?
Can that faith save him? 15 If a brother or sister is poorly clothed and lacking in daily food, 16 and one of you says to them, “Go in peace, be warmed and filled,” without giving them the things needed for the body, what good is that?
17 So also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead.
18 But someone will say, “You have faith and I have works.” Show me your faith apart from your works, and I will show you my faith by my works. 19 You believe that God is one; you do well. Even the demons believe-and shudder! 20 Do you want to be shown, you foolish person, that faith apart from works is useless? 21 Was not Abraham our father justified by works when he offered up his son Isaac on the altar?
      22 You see that faith was active along with his works, and faith was completed by his works;
23 and the Scripture was fulfilled that says, “Abraham believed God, and it was counted to him as righteousness”-and he was called a friend of God.
24 You see that a person is justified by works and not by faith alone.
      Matthew 25:33-40:
33 He will place the sheep at his right hand and the goats at his left.
34 “Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father, inherit the Kingdom prepared for you from the creation of the world. 35 For I was hungry, and you fed me. I was thirsty, and you gave me a drink. I was a stranger, and you invited me into your home. 36 I was naked, and you gave me clothing. I was sick, and you cared for me. I was in prison, and you visited me.’
37 “Then these righteous ones will reply, ‘Lord, when did we ever see you hungry and feed you? Or thirsty and give you something to drink? 38 Or a stranger and show you hospitality? Or naked and give you clothing? 39 When did we ever see you sick or in prison and visit you?’
40 “And the King will say, ‘I tell you the truth, when you did it to one of the least of these my brothers and sisters, you were doing it to me!’
41 “Then the King will turn to those on the left and say, ‘Away with you, you cursed ones, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his demons. 42 For I was hungry, and you didn’t feed me. I was thirsty, and you didn’t give me a drink. 43 I was a stranger, and you didn’t invite me into your home. I was naked, and you didn’t give me clothing. I was sick and in prison, and you didn’t visit me.’
44 “Then they will reply, ‘Lord, when did we ever see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or naked or sick or in prison, and not help you?’
45 “And he will answer, ‘I tell you the truth, when you refused to help the least of these my brothers and sisters, you were refusing to help me.’
46 “And they will go away into eternal punishment, but the righteous will go into eternal life.”
      Matthew 5:17-19
17 “Don’t misunderstand why I have come. I did not come to abolish the law of Moses or the writings of the prophets.
No, I came to accomplish their purpose. 18 I tell you the truth, until heaven and earth disappear, not even the smallest detail of God’s law will disappear until its purpose is achieved. 19 So if you ignore the least commandment and teach others to do the same, you will be called the least in the Kingdom of Heaven. But anyone who obeys God’s laws and teaches them will be called great in the Kingdom of Heaven."
      Matthew 5:21-22
21 “You have heard that our ancestors were told, ‘You must not murder. If you commit murder, you are subject to judgment.’ 22 But I say, if you are even angry with someone, you are subject to judgment! If you call someone an idiot, you are in danger of being brought before the court. And if you curse someone, you are in danger of the fires of hell."
      Matthew 5:27-30:
27 “You have heard the commandment that says, ‘You must not commit adultery.’ 28 But I say, anyone who even looks at a woman with lust has already committed adultery with her in his heart.
29 So if your eye-even your good eye-causes you to lust, gouge it out and throw it away. It is better for you to lose one part of your body than for your whole body to be thrown into hell.
30 And if your hand-even your stronger hand-causes you to sin, cut it off and throw it away. It is better for you to lose one part of your body than for your whole body to be thrown into hell."
      Ephesians 2:9-10:
For by grace you have been saved through faith; and this is not your own doing, it is the gift of God -- not because of works, lest any man should boast.
For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.
2 Timothy 4:14- “Alexander the coppersmith did me much evil: the Lord reward him according to his works.”

The reason you're confused is because you're getting conflicting information. Jesus established only 1 Church, His Church, The Catholic Church. The Catholic Church gave the world the Bible. It's easy to understand salvation from a Catholic perspective because therein contains the authority to do so. It contains the fullness of Truth. Catholic means "Universal" in Greek.
Research the Early Church Father's and where the Biblical Canon came from.
Once you discover this and look into the Catholic Faith, everything will begin to make sense to you.
Saint Augustine (died A.D. 430): “No man can find salvation except in the Catholic Church. Outside the Catholic Church one can have everything except salvation. One can have honor, one can have the sacraments, one can sing alleluia, one can answer amen, one can have faith in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Ghost, and preach it too, but never can one find salvation except in the Catholic Church.” (Sermo ad Caesariensis Ecclesia plebem)
"It is clear that, throughout her 2000-year history, the Church has constantly and consistently taught that, if a man does not accept the faith of Christ and enter into His Church and subject himself to the authority of the Roman Pontiff, he cannot be saved. The language used to express this doctrine has always been simple, direct and unequivocal - no “if”s, “and”s or “but”s. This is the true “context of the entire teaching of the Church on this matter” down through the centuries."
      Biblical Canon.
The canon of the Catholic Church was affirmed by the Council of Rome (AD 382), the Synod of Hippo (AD 393), the Council of Carthage (AD 397), the Council of Carthage (AD 419), the Council of Florence (AD 1431-1449) and finally, as an article of faith, by the Council of Trent (AD 1545-1563). Those established the Catholic biblical canon consisting of 46 books in the Old Testament and 27 books in the New Testament for a total of 73 books."
      --------Protestant Reformation-------
"Martin Luther (1483-1546) moved seven Old Testament books (Tobit, Judith, 1-2 Maccabees, Book of Wisdom, Sirach, and Baruch) into a section he called the "Apocrypha, that are books which are not considered equal to the Holy Scriptures, but are useful and good to read".

7:28 Roman’s 10:9-10 salvation is turning from sin to God. You first have to believe in your heart. If you say a rehearsed prayer first it means nothing.

I agree man cannot save man! We are all dead in Christ until he awakens us! Not after pastor gives alter call and u repeat Roman’s road with the deacons ! That’s the Spirit moving and stirring in you! Until God awakens your soul , comes to where you are weather in church but likely not cause he works more than one day a week! Brings you to your knees and leaves you feeling like you just had an out of body experience then God saved you! I have seen grown men bawl like babies at work or in their own back yard. I have heard more people tell about there counterfeit salvation than you would believe me included! Thought I was saved in Mrs ovenels Sunday school class in first grade! Left church as soon as I was out of my parents house and didn’t return till I was 24 ! Wasn’t truly saved like earth quaking soul shaking till I was 31!

Not everyone that says Lord, Lord will inherit the kingdom of God. When one prays with another the sinners prayer only God knows their heart . And if they continue in their sin, then it means they never excepted Jesus . You are not responsible Granger for their salvation . Because we are only the tools and God is the savior. He is ( Jesus ) the one who saves. So don’t let the enemy the devil lie to you. 🙏🏼❤️so let the Lord use you. P.S. alcohol is a sin. Many times accidents happen when someone is driving drunk and kills someone. Yes alcohol is a sin . A true Christian does not drink alcohol. If they know the truth the truth will set you free !

Being forgiven by God is completely different than being forgiven by that man’s wife. Only our Lord knows his heart. We must not confuse Gods and man’s forgiveness. They are truly two different things.

Romans 10:9, “ If you declare with your mouth, 'Jesus is Lord,' and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved."
1 John 1:9. “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”
My belief is that the sinners prayer pretty much covers these verses. Asking for forgiveness of sins and saying out loud Jesus is Lord and believing he died on the cross and rose again. But just repeating words with someone doesn’t do anything the person needs to actually believe what they are saying. Might be best to say your own words. Talk it out with God in your bedroom alone with no distractions.

Jesus turned water to wine not wine to water, the bible says and im paraphrasing "do not drink to the point were you will commit debauchery" well i think the word used is more "intoxicated" but you get what i mean
also no the bible never says getting "tipsy" is bad Jesus would drink a lot with his disciples and they would objectively be AT LEAST tipsy it only mentions being drunk is bad if it leads to debauchery (like i said) or it will stray UNBELIVERS away from god

Where is the part in the Bible that tells about Jesus drinking a lot with His disciples and thus allowing us to objectively conclude that they were at least tipsy?

We all once walked in darkness like Ephesians chapter 2-2-and time pass you walked according to the course of this world according to the prince of the power of the air the spirit that now works in the children of disobedience. Also, we have our conversation and time pass in the lust of the flesh fulfilling, the desires of the flesh and of the mind were by nature the children of wrath, but God, who is rich and his mercy for his great love that he loves us even when we were dead in sin has quicken us together with Christ by grace we are saved. He is raise this up and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus set an age to come, that he might show the exceedingly riches of his grace and kindness towards us through Jesus Christ for via grace. We are saved through faith not over sell self it’s gift of God not of works these any man should boast, for we have are his workmanship created in Christ Jesus, and to good works, which God has before our day is that we shall walk in them

As a Christian, I don’t drink. Zero. It is an appearance of evil. So I don’t do it. Not a drop. If I’m not willing to pray a blessing over that beer, I’m not having it. That’s me.

In order for a person to be saved they don't need to understand their full depravity as this is knowledge and not faith.
The apostles never preached an evangelistic message about total depravity, check it out in the book of acts. The messages focused on the resurrection of Jesus Christ. The pattern in the bible is to preach repentence, faith towards God (believe on Jesus), then for those who receive the message water baptism then Holy Spirit baptism through laying on of hands. Sometimes the baptism of the Holy Spirit comes before water baptism. Hardly anyone follows the biblical pattern.

Jesus drink wine often. That’s an indisputable fact. What’s interesting to me is the Bible talks ALOT about alcohol. Like REALLY ALOT. The Bible makes a pretty clear distinction between getting buzzed and getting drunk. Not my opinion that’s just what it says.

Well, I get my counseling from Jesus Christ his counselor, so I go to him if I need counselings and I know all about heartache, I lost my daughter when she was 33 to a drug overdose. I lost my husband to lung cancer and the only counselor I go to is Jesus Christ and the word of God the Holy Spirit is what you need to lead you and guide you into all truth. Know if you go if you have a Christian that you can relate to that can counsel you that’s good we need to all have one another but as far as counselors go, I don’t believe the Bible says that we need a counselor I need Jesus Christ in his word if I was out in the desert, and I don’t have anything else but the word in the Holy Spirit and Jesus, I will be just fine man can’t do nothing for me, but Jesus Christ. The son of man is my savior.

Drinking is a sin? Sin not even an issue when it comes to being right with God today. Jesus Christ paid it all at cross. Because you a saved person can't possibly go to hell doesn't give a person a license to sin, really? Your going to sin with or without a license, with all of the consequences to boot. Today, we have been justified faith alone in the cross work of Jesus Christ. Rest in that assurance, 1COR.15:1-4; Eph.2:8,9, Eph.2:13 and verses like these through the teaching of the Apostle Paul.

Define modern evangelism. The Bible scriptures and meanings never change so it should be preached the way it always has and by the way joel olsteen is a false proghet. He wavers on his teachings. Ask him something about the lgbtq community and he starts squirming around and wont tell what needs to be told.
