He never got to socialize or even hang out with his siblings. He wasnt given a chance to laugh or become soft

I have to say big pop off to Yuki Kaji (Todoroki's voice actor) for managing to keep it to a chuckle, knowing Todoroki's aloof personality and rather deep voice, when you know that Yuki Kaji's voice and laugh is one of the most iconic in the anime industry.
