At least 3 of the players you mentioned come from a poverty-striken background and that's part of your answer there: when you're a poor kid you might have nothing else to do but play on the streets with other kids in a similar situation, and despite poverty, you can always count on one of those kids having a football ball. You can find a football field almost anywhere in Latin America and, if not, you can always use a couple of stones or stick some twigs into the ground and voilá: you've got yourself a goal. Football is encouraged from an early age (especially among young boys as a sort of way of proving themselves), there are football schools in which kids can learn the basics and also get one or two meals for little money (or even for free in the poorest of areas), kids play football in the parks, during recess at school and even those from middle to higher class even play it afterwards in video games.
All of that gets amalgamated by the insane levels of passion football evokes in our peoples, some people organize their lives around their club, some people would even die or kill for it, and even the atmosphere around football is so intoxicating that it can influence otherwise rational people into a frenzy. Since South American club football cannot compete with Europe at the financial level, UEFA clubs have been taking our talent away for many years now, leading to a steady decrease in local club-level football quality. But even despite that, people are still passionate about the game and their clubs, and I think that's one of the main reasons the ball keeps rolling (pun intended): we don't watch our football because of the spectacle or to see some crazy plays, we do so because of the overwhelming passion and love we feel for it, and to me that's the heart and soul of South American football, and as long as it beats, we'll continue to produce players and game for years to come.
On the other hand, you can always look at it the other way around: why does Europe need so much infraestructure to generate players with the same (or often less) skill than South America does with twigs for goal lines and football balls passed down from fathers to sons?
      Love from Argentina.
