Father, you and I met at St Nicholas in Ft Wayne, before you converted. Greetings from a fellow "Recovering Lutheran."

Joseph I have the same SSA struggles as you. I converted to Catholicism. I am privileged to be a Catholic. I am aware some priests are liberal but I have found all the priests I go to are orthodox. I live in London in the UK. If we focus on purity rather than politics the Church is still God's means of saving sinners.

I wonder if Father ever visited St. Joseph Orthodox Church in Wheaton, IL. @Joseph Sciambra
Fr. Josiah Trenham, Mother Alexandra, and many other Orthodox first experienced Orthodox Christianity there.
Fr. John Matusiak was the rector priest there.
Fr. John was my first spiritual father.
Sadly, he reposed, and the parish was given to a Leftist priest.

44:20 St. John is why he was able to keep his church open thru covid. Why not pray to him exclusively.. or, is he limited in his great power? His god- like power surely transfers over into many other areas of life..! Amazing! Miraculous!

If hypothetically you asked your friend to pray for you and it was because of that prayer that God helped you through something would it be incorrect to say "I was helped because of my friend"? Does this statement necessarily exclude God in any way? Does it necessarily imply your friend was the SOLE source of help or are you reading that into it because of your presuppositions?
If I was being robbed and you called the police who came and saved me and I said "wow you really saved me by calling the cops" am I saying that you could have saved me without the cops? Or is the help of the cops already implied just like the help of God is implied when we use the word "intercession"?
