Love this game. I love how this is 2 soundtracks layered onto eachother. I often found myself shooting my guns in the air just to hear the guitar and drums come in over the choir and suttle instruments.

I can not believe how many references to "Mass Defect" there are in the comments section for this video. As for the song itself, it sums up the final act of one of the most memorable video games I've played in years, and recalls one of the only video game endings I can recall, that was in a word- Perfect.
I dont think that i heard a soundtrack being so naturaly metal without of dull moment ever, this was so original and greatly used, 6 choirs this beast has and our own Prague orchestra, then Gustaf Grefberg just rock and roll over it... i cant even tell you how much disapointed i was with score for second game, this is pure gold, i can think of only Red alert 3, Doom 2016, some old Unreal tournament and Killing floor music that is kind of like this, but its not many ( yes i know about Devil may cry but that is band songs.. ) and my god if we need more of these....

Just running and jumping everywhere, throwing shit at people, killing dudes the most violent way possible. Never before have I felt like such a total fucking beast and without this music I don't think it would even be possible.
Dual uzi spam, spas-12 spam, auto-shotgun spam, slashing, black holes, more auto-shotgun spam, feeding, repeat. This game literally lets you feel like a true monster on the inside. Imagine if we could use all that power on a city full of civilians >:D
I see what you mean, but perhaps what makes a game original can be destroyable terrain, the ability to jetpack, or ski, unique weapons. Games like Metro and Fear that are horror shooters, or Amnesia, or the Darkness all have their own little bits and bobs that make the game unique. And then you have the characters and the storyline. What I'm saying is that there is a lot more than just the characters and story of a game that makes it special, its the atmosphere, the sounds, the feel. etc. :)
I hate how the guy who voice acted Jimmy the Grape is now dead but he was a real Italian Mafioso though, they could not have picked a better actor for that character.

I loved it. It was actually really amazing detail for a cartoonish look. The way they did the lighting and shadows on the characters and shit really made it feel like a comic book. And the first game had mediocre graphics anyway. I mean the gameplay and everything was much more polished than before and the characters were all well developed. Its a masterpiece shooter in my book.
yeah, but the concept of the darkness is rather original. When you think about it, CoD are just remakes of each other now. But the darkness was a very original idea from a gameplay point of view. And even in comics it's a very original idea.
I weep when i see what has happened to both the BF and COD series. COD 4 and BF:Bad Company 2 were probably the apex of each individual franchise's series!

I can name a couple games that are original though the thing is there is only one thing about a game that can be original and that is the storyline and characters, I agree that it mixes shit up I was just commenting on the games originality. In terms of characters and such.
What didn't you like about it? I like some of the changes they made to the powers such as being able to throw the pipes or slice people up with the tentacles. I thought the finishers were meh, but I did like that some of them allowed you to heal in battle and spend less time behind cover. The things I didn't like were that you couldn't use powers like black hole and darkness guns whenever you want like you could in the first. I also disliked the length and the new "borderlands" graphics.
