    You put so much effort into this video and it turned to be so awesome. The transitions, the dictation, the perfect background music and so much detailed info and NO BULLSHIT. Its hard to believe that its a one man work. I was very very much impressed with your skills than the story itself. Still those stupid videos out there get more views. Bless you dude. Keep up the good work. I'm checking your channel everyday from now.

      @@sr-fw7xk not really, the internet was an Idea ... it was "people" who made the 'idea' work.
      Just like torrenting, if there's no seeders it wont work, the internet's the same, it's 'people' who provide "content" and if they didn't there'd be no internet
      that's why it's called a 'network' 😁

    Seriously this video could be played on a famous multinational TV and nobody would ever think that it was done by one person only. Big most documentaries broadcasted never even reached this level of professionalism with such a way of keeping it all interesting.
    Keep up the excellent work!

    Steve job played an important role in this computer world. Yeah , he didnt invent anything, but he found right thing ,at the right time and made it appealing to people.everything he marketed was already there in the world, he just know what people needs. he made competitors challenging,he made pc big,other started coming, he made ipod big other started to enter the industry, same goes to i-phone. he made competition better. i wonder which industry he would have revolutionized if he was alive.

      +red black He was a fruitarian and some people today are following a similar _organic_ movement and geared towards eating more healthy foods especially a diet of eating more fruits and vegetables. If he had an idea that is appealing to people that are following this movement then he may have made an industry about that.

      @yokeimon = lol SJ may have helped bring attention to "fruitarian" but he did not invent the concept by any stretch of the imagination... the concept has been around for a long, long time. That being said, it's interesting to note SJ's fruitarian diet, unfortunately didn't seem to do him much good ... which is no surprise really, considering when one researches the pro/con of fruitarian... most nutritionists/well researched and competent nutritionists will tell you, a diet high in the wrong fruits/fruits with high glycemic sugar content, are actually detrimental to health... it's very fascinating/ interesting (to say the least) how "cult of personality" can so easily lead masses of people to turn off their minds/their check and balance and follow certain people (a cult of personality) straight off a cliff... no concerns and no questions asked.

    6:50 This is how I first used the internet in 1991. Eventually installed a program called "slirp" to connect to my friends computer at a local university to get graphics...that was around 1992. BTW, at that time, NO ONE talked about the internet...you could search forever in computer magazines and no one even mentioned it. My family thought I'd lost my mind talking about what was about to happen. Sadly I never took advantage of this by investing in it (like eBay as it was forming). Oh well.

    Quantum based computing, carbon nano-tubing, and nano-tech is the future for us. However, the question is simple: Can human ingenuity salvage us from human ignorance?
    Is the law of conservation of matter finite, or can we alter the use to be more efficient?
    I guess only time will tell.
    Who else out there in the great-wide Internet would give everything to see 1000 years in the future... like Futurama?

    The thing is that despite what most people think, smart phones are not really the true future of computing.
    The issue with smartphones and tablets is they lack the ability to be upgraded easily.
    Plus a traditional workstation is still better for gaming, media creation and having a wifi network anchor point

      Ralph Bromley indeed, video did not kill the radio star - just as mobile won't entirely extinguish home computers - until perhaps IoT takes them all and my kids' kids' kids look at mobile phones as I look at a quill pen.

      @Nikownzyu 9 лет назад

      Not easily upgradable? The nvidia shield tablet has as much power as a last gen console and its soon to be big brother will have almost as much power as a next gen console and a 2013 computer with core i7's and nvidia GPU cards

    • @yokeimon
      @yokeimon 9 лет назад

      +Ralph Bromley The idea of portability is what made it revolutionary, in my opinion. Nothing is more personal or gives more control to the user if they can carry this _deus ex machina_ or this magical device with them.
      A stationary life versus a nomadic transient lifestyle, to each their own.
      There are people who stay in their country and live life with familiarity and relative ease due to a habit they are used to.
      There are those who explore and travel to unknown distances to make this as their living, adventurous and daunting yet thrilling. I am not saying one is more exciting and one is more comfortable but people have a choice.
      A stationary machine/system is suitable for those who have a life that revolves around this knowledge and comfort level. A portable-device is for those who would rather take a similar functioning machine/system to do what a stationary machine maybe capable of but not fixed to one place.

    Google is literally bigger than ever
    Microsoft's Windows Phone failed big time years back
    Nokia is back on the scene
    VR came .. and flopped
    AI is the new future
    Avatar is no longer the highest grossing film of all time.. It's Avengers Endgame
    Jeff Bezos is the richest man in the world
    Amazon , Alibaba , SoftBank and Huawei are doing some amazing work
    The tech-shift from US to China and India is going on full swing. The later two are where the future of IT lies
    Also..
    Thanos snapped .. but his action got reversed
    iPhone 11 has literally the most pathetic design with almost no innovation and a stove camera design
    If you're familiar with Theranos , then FYI Elizabeth turned out to be a big fraud
    Everyone is eyeing Elon Musk with his SpaceX and Tesla
    Steve Jobs is long gone and his legacy is tarnished by one Tim Cook

    I have been a fan for Android Phones for years (especially the HTC & Samsung ones) and all other Google products (Chrome, Drive etc...) are fantastic ... I truly believe that Apple's iPad is by far the best tablet on the market.... But no one can deny that the concept of 'using live tiles instead of icons' (100% multitasking) and the idea of Microsoft Surface (a sort of tablet-notebook hybrid) are revolutionary too !

    Man, I remember working at Nokia in the Multimedia and Accessories office. the day they coped the manual for the iPhone the week after it launched. in 2007. They just had no clue! I remember all the people being defensive. Ha! Nokia was smart though. They left mobile phones and did something to move forward in a new directions. Don't sleep on Nokia - I bet they make a big comeback in the next 10 years. Mobility with phone devices is out of touch in 2 years.

      +Martin Lutaaya Turing only copied/based of the works of Cipher Bureau of 2nd Division of Polish Military Intelligence Office. If it not have been the works of Marian Rejewski, Henryk Zygalski, Jerzy Różycki and cpt. Maksymilian Ciężki in charge of Cipher Bureau Enigma could not have been broken fast enough to stop German forces from invading Norge and Finland and Russia. Rejewski has built his own computer to crack Enigma cipher "Bomba" When Turing visited Warsaw in 1939 he already tried to break enigma code but failed, and showed great disbelief Poles could have broken Enigma, infact Poles were reading Enigma 6 years before Kabaty Woods trilateral conference, held on 25 July 1939. When Germany attacked Poland Cipher Bureau did destroy every trace of equipment used to brake enigma, as to mislead german intelligence enigma code is safe, and gave UK MI their documents. Later Turing reconstructed/build his own "Bombe", based on work of Polish Cipher Bureau, named Turing machine.In his report to SIS Turing stated the Poles propably stole or bought the solution to Enigma. Later he changed his report. Polish Cipher Bureau did recive Enigma standard operation manual form french inteligence officer Gustave Bertrand. But that's another story.

      In 1984 protection of the Net from delinquents was mainly in the hands of the IETF. The FBI and military were only in talks about the founding of the CERT, today's main group of legal and technical experts doing this work.
      The IETF is your prototypical group of white-hat hackers, and at some point in there somebody asked the very important question "What if...?" about the distributed zombie DOS attack, which had not yet appeared in the wild. The question was quietly circulated, and at some point we were all told we could relax: some kid in the Polish post office had come up with the answer.
      Some months later the first distributed Zombie DOS's started, and the white hats were at least somewhat prepared.
      The "kid in the Polish post office," is apparently the son of one of those 1939 heroes who did so much to save our asses in WWII.

    • @wssnwwssloswysvwewww
      @wssnwwssloswysvwewww 8 лет назад +6

      +Ninad Ganore no, the real reason was that apple was like 90 days from announcing bankruptcy, this was when Steve jobs was brought back to apple and this was his first step, there is a video of Macworld Boston 1997. You can watch it on RUclips. It Will also help you to understand the true nature of apple employees. Biting the hand that was feeding them

      +ThinkCMYK and even if your version is true which i know is not , it is an extremely lame thing to do .not a class act and neither can be called a settlement. So my trye version is believable .

    • @gbiagomba
      @gbiagomba 8 лет назад +5

      +Ninad Ganore Part of the reason why they saved them was because Microsoft was facing monopoly charges from the feds, saving apple means Microsoft wouldn't technically have a monopoly since their main competitor was still around.

    5:40 "...So it could grow and grow it did"
    Would any of you fine gentlemen care to explain if this is a grammatically correct thing to say? It sounds nice and attractive and English isn't my first language so I'd really appreciate if somebody could shed some light on grammar behind it.

      ***** ***** It is grammatically correct. You may say "so it could grow and it did" but there is a vague antecedent reference here. Therefore, the phrase "...grow it did" is actually correct.
