yoo what's up, finally it's here after taking an accidental break (i forgot to upload) it's here, it's playable, i remade the cover, plus PixelAves remade the sprites! so it was the perfect chance to update this.

This is very impressive! The lack of jump scares is very welcomed as well(especially when you see MinusChrome 😰), so I'll give this an easy 10/10! The visual and SFX at the end are nice touches, too!

I know he's called Gold in the Manga and Ethan in HGSS and Masters, but I've never heard Blake before.
Blake is what the player character/ kid named that played the hack before the protagonist.
Blake is Angie (the protagonist)'s brother who would hack his Pokemon game until it comes back to bite him

Honestly the main thing I'm focused on is the complete lack of jumpscares.
I see every rendition of this creepypasta having it and I just think it ruins more than it gives. The song and the story are both meant to be depressing, silent, dreadfilled endeavors that end with someone's untimely demise.
Throwing in a spooky face with a loud noise in the middle of it just ruins everything that's being done with the story for a cheap scare.

EYO THIS IS G O O D SHIT??? I always loved this reskin cuz the way the cold is captured on gold is excellently done, the heavy breathing, the frost bitten hands, his eyes so wide with fear. The new line at the beginning already had me hype for this update. The artist really went into detail here. And the sprite change?? The way his expression shifts to something so. Hopeless? SUPER well captured. Was never one to delve into creepypastas but I know great art when I see it. Excellent work.

Something I noticed, behind Gold is Pikachu and Red, but Red has a chunk of his brain showing, and Pikachu...well, looks the same as the creepypasta, in all honestly. Still looks cool, though!

Damn... Awesome work dude. Blake's expressions are perfect, and you managed to spice up Monochrome pretty well. From "I'm dead" to "I'm cold", if you know what I mean. Noth just plain hopelessness like Lost Silver, but fear and in the end actual acceptance of the inevitable. Blake looks so sad that I am about to tear up. He needs someone to get him out of this.

I may be missing out on the creepypasta but I thought Gold’s name was Ethan
in the mt silver Creepypasta i watched it showed the trainer's name to be "Blake" but people call him gold, or ethan, is kinda confusing.
So Gold was the fan name in the original gold and silver because he didn't have one but his manga counterpart did but once Heart Gold and Soul Silver came out his name was officially Ethan. This has lead to a split within the Pokemon fandom with people calling one or the other. Also Blake is the name of the kid who played as the protag in the creepypasta

In the story, the protagonist (Angie) has a brother named Blake who grew up on Pokemon. While Blake was in the psyche ward of the hospital due to insanity (and despite him warning her to get rid of the games), Angie decided to play Silver where it has said cheat. In the end, Blake did recovered but he gave up on Pokemon for good.

Something I noticed for a brief amount of time (when I say brief I mean so short amount of time) is that at the end of the song, you'll hear Gold freezing, probably froze into ice because of his frostbite.

honestly this is 100% my favourite version of monochrome i’ve seen so far. something i want to note is the complete lack of jumpscares, which i appreciate more than anything. if anything the lack of jumpscares makes this more eerie. it’s more focused on the actual horror happening in front of you instead of a cheap jumpscare. there’s attention to small details (red and pikachu in the background, the more emotion he shows towards the end as he’s finally freezing to death, the sound at the end, which i can only assume is the sound of him finally collapsing), so that makes me appreciate this even more. thank you, this is literally incredible. you’ve done the creepypasta justice.

Lost silver and snow on mt silver are great when they are interlocked, lost silver takes place way after gold died and lost his eyes and limbs, this is showing gold losing his limbs falling off and his eyes falling out, and the sad pikachu fight in lost silver, the celabi using perish song and being cut in half, they mix quite well in my opinion
Funfact red is up before Blake challenges red bf is in and wants to help them but at the end Blake wants to try it itself

I accidentaly mixed this with Frostbite but swapped and something bad happened... I was playing ms monochrome then I had the frostbite mechanic💀. My fps dropped from 240 to 13 👌Now I had unowns and frostbite thermometer 🥶. In the end first off the ''Very realistic death sound'' played and right after that the swapped frostbite cutscene but it cut off after red started dying😰. Very dangerous experience 1/10 👎
