A masterpiece ,Flawless. 2024 was a draw. 2025 we kicking in the door.1000 pans or more .Long live the Mighty AllStars
I absolutely WISH that someone would get the extended footage of All Stars playing "Dust" AND the crowd scream and shouting for an encore. According to the All Stars players, if it weren't for the fact that there was a band behind them waiting to play, they would have played it again. The audience so refused to let All Stars leave the stage, that the police could do nothing to help the All Stars players leave. The Tactical Squad was called in to help them get off. (I believe some of the Army was called in as well, but don't quote me on the Army part.) Thank you All Stars.
The announcer literally had to beg the audience to allow the competition to go on. “WE WANT MORE, WE WANT MORE” were the shouts of the entire Savannah. I saw old All Stars Panmen cry that night on stage. It was truly a resounding return to the big yard after we were relegated to “Best of The Rest” for a couple years. I know because not only was I there, I played and thoroughly enjoyed the chants of the crowd. We came third, tying with Exodus, both bands playing Dus in Dey Face, (Made for Exodus) and came second the following year with Earthquake.
@@JubileeRMOh really, what pan did you play, I also played the back to back best of the rest.
I remembered coming up George St saying easy win easy money, we didn't even win best of the rest, they really had it out for TASSO.
But here we're stronger than even.
@takethatandcoolit I played 6 Bass with Terry, Fields, Wren, Chris and the crew. Muscles used to play the Bass as well but I think he played doubles seconds that year. Cherry cried like a baby that night.
I can't even begin to count the number of times I've watched this. Just brilliant, engaging and energetic.
Watching this on World Steelpan Day - I was lucky enough to be in the North Stand for this!
Wheeeyyyyy what kinda sweetness is this I want it all the time it make me feel to wine
I was dancing in this Carnival celebration 1993. I spent a year in Port of Spain July 1992 - July 1993.

This arrangement was done so brilliantly by Eddie Quarless and not Smooth EDWARDS as previously commented.
