Why do they keep the back door open, on the truck? Why when the 2 trucks leave the station, the rescue truck doesn't follow the fire truck, but rather goes down the 1-way street the wrong way, only to follow the firetruck anyway?
That’s common on all rescues for them to keep the door open, it’s based on preference I believe. Also it’s tough for the rescue to make that turn so they just go down the little road and then make that left.
@@vitaliyfdny8238 my cousin lives a block away from this firehouses, and I’ve stopped waiting for them to leave. I never noticed it before. This particular firehouses is on Clove Rd on Staten Island
@@petermartinijr.1012 They aren’t very busy so trying to get them going out on a run could take some time. It took me 3 hours before I got them going out, but sometimes it’s perfect timing and you can get them instantly.
@@vitaliyfdny8238 Hopefully they never need to go out. I read that particular firehouse was the first into the city during 9-11, and every fireman on and off duty was killed that day. Such a shame. Hopefully they never need to go out on calls. It's a dangerous job.

My dad’s a lieutenant of engine 160 for 8 years and still going love that house
I really like the slowish, simple light pattern FDNY has. Distinctive but not distracting.

That first truck has what has got to be the coolest siren I've ever heard!

If nothing else, the artwork on the firehouse doors is pretty darn good to see.
