  • A short film dedicated to David Keohan (aka "Indiana Stones"), who descended down to County Kerry, Ireland, in an attempt to "get the wind" under a stone that hasn't been lifted in over 100 years.
David has been featured on the Blindboy Podcast, the Tommy Tiernan Show, among major media outlets across the globe.
Lifting stones are heavy natural stones which people are challenged to lift, proving their strength. They are common throughout Northern Europe, particularly Iceland (where they are referred to as steintökin), Ireland, Scotland, Basque Country, Faroe Islands, Wales, North West England centered around Cumbria, Switzerland, Southern Germany centered around Bavaria, Austria and also in the United States and parts of Asia such as Japan

Ok I'd watch hours of this. I hunted heirloom apples in the southern United States for years just like David hunts stones. And I lift stones.

Thanks so much Pete! What do you mean by heirloom apples by the way?

@@Chris_barrett_photo Old nearly lost or extinct varieties. Just like you are talking about finding stones in old texts, you can do the same with apples.

I could see this becoming a regular 20 minute feature on the various stones. Be good to see you fellows take trips out based on David's finds. John Rooney's map would really come alive with that. @Netflix, here is some quality content.

Excellent!! A longer and more detailed documentary of the Indiana Stones mission and vision for the future of stone lifting is needed!!

Does it have to stay flat, or could you lift it standing up on its edge? I build natural stone walls, and that's how I'd attempt it...

No lifting on flat is better for putting the back out.😂
