Professor Akhtarul Wasey- Professor Akhtarul Wasey is the president of Maulana Azad University, Jodhpur, and former professor at Jamia Millia Islamia. He became India's Commissioner for Linguistic Minorities in March 2014, appointed by former President Pranab Mukherjee. He's the first Urdu-speaking commissioner since 1957.
