My words exactly. I've grown my dreadlocks out for 10 years, and it got to the point where they grewdown to my butt. I had amazing hair. I had a severe stroke, and while I was still out cold the nurses cut some of my hair off. And my mom cut the rest of it off so they could do an MRI. It turned out that my hair didn't matter. I have a short fronow and I plan on getting my dreadlocks back. If certain people don't like em, they can kiss my ass lol!
I'm sad that you lost your beautiful hair but I'm happy that they saved you from your stroke. Also I am happy that your hair has now grown back and you have plans for it. I was just singing the song by India Arie in my head during this clip, "I am not my hair." :)
I'm white and my three nephews and niece are biracial. I can very easily put my hair back in a ponytail or a bun. The children have thick, beautiful tight curls....but it takes a bit of time to style their hair, especially my niece. I've learned a LOT and have been humbled how much time and care and products it takes to keep their hair healthy and looking good. Each child has his and her own style..... these styles are their CROWNS. My four yr old niece wants to get long cornrow braids. I would be beside myself if anyone told these precious babies they have to cut or style their hair to "conform" and "fit in" to aspects of society.
This doesn't work in the REAL world. For someone to spew out something like that in front of a panel of executives, you'll be seen as a non-team player.
We live in the real world, do some research on the Tignon Laws so you can see just how far back this type of racism stems.. fuck being a team player. Black is beautiful
@@sdlock83 big difference between self segregation and what Kyle is doing. He was informed by a co worker that thought that if wanted to move up in the company he should get rid of his locks. Nevermind his performance at work and his work ethic. Also they shouldn't have a problem with his hair considering they didn't have a problem with before so it shouldn't be one now. Unfortunately things have changed nowadays. A Year ago kid in his senior year of high school got suspended wasn't allowed to return to school or attend his graduation ceremony unless he cut his hair, because he had long dreadlocks which take years to grow out btw but they kick him out cuz he wouldn't cut his hair. They suspended another student for the same thing and eventually the school got taken to count and the students won they got to go back to school and graduate. Know the difference
Correct! You don't run the business and the business was created not because of you. You have to have your own to set your policy. Yes he would have been fired. I love messages but most are unrealistic.
kcorpora1 yeah. Most likely security or Human Resources would’ve been called. My mom’s friend was mouthing off at her bosses, causing drama. She was very intimidating. They were afraid of her. So the day she was fired none of the supervisors, managers or directors came in. She was told to go to HR and they told her she was fired and that was that. And yes, she was a sista. West Indian. :)

Most times it's the other people though. That doesn't play well on TV it seems. They'd rather portray it as black on black crime.

He looks marvelous on every episode...Damn I wish I wasn't married because he's my kind of guy
Wow, so you settled? Damn you played yourself
So your husband was the only guy that lives wherever you come from, is that what you're telling me?
Hope your husband wakes up from the nightmare that is YOU.
