I was a senior on the drum line when Scott McAdow began teaching at LCHS. He is the first person I ever met who’s attention to detail was priority at all times. Everyone was held accountable. If a musician missed rehearsal for any reason, we had to rehearse with him in his office after school. Many members, including seniors, quit. Even a weak ass drum major quit. Only the strong survived. He was a savage beast and he made us great. I loved and thrived on the discipline he commanded. I think of him often and I wish I had been a freshman that year. He turned Langham into a powerhouse.
It's amazing how large the band has become since the days of 8th grade, freshmen and sophomores only, going to school in a new junior high in Copperfield in 1984-85 before the high school was finished. We wore polo shirts and blue jeans for our uniform that year. Beautiful piece Lobos. Thanks!
i was completely aware of that but that really has nothing to do with it competition SHOULD be about what happens there and not what the big picture is and especially not have to do with big reps cause honestly that what got langham second place but its not like that unfortunately :[ oh and like i said, the playing was great!
Amazing! We played Enigma variations last year for concert season and it makes a really cool marching show! Great performance!

Jack Foose was a cool director. He taught me percussion in beginning band.
I loved doing this show, definitely my favorite so far. And ya we did have a little trouble with this years show but it worked out fine in the end.
Some hard licks in tuba part here. (Check 2:09)
Didn't you tuba guys get every chair at Region Band? Correct me if I'm wrong.
