Don't do that for any use you might want or need distilled water. There is so much more (alcohol,VOC...) what evaporats before water does. Depending what is in the starter liquid, all those liquids will be in the destilate. While the heated water is under 99 degrees C everything coming out at the cold end is mostly not water. Anything around 100C will mostly be H2O but still can contain other stuff.
