Both beautiful cars both serve their own purposes and appeal to their own audiences but both extraordinary pieces of machinery 💪🏽 big thumbs up from down here 🇦🇺 your distant cousins 😀
Had the V6S for a year now. I guarantee if you had the vert you would never go back to the coupe even though the rear looks better. It sounds biblical with the roof down.
3yrs now and still smiling everytime I drive the v6s with roof down. Just test drove an svr v8 convertible and sounds amazing and certainly quicker, but I still prefer the higher v6 tone. I then ruined my entire world by driving a v10 r8 spyder 😂
I would choose the V6 over the V8 all day! It sounds deeper, more substantial.... If Exhaust revs had healing powers, this would definitely be my go to...just balm for the soul🎶 The fact that the V6 was available with a manual transmission (which is said to be a bit sloppy from what I heard but it can‘t be really that bad since it‘s a ZF which you could also find in some BMWs😄) makes it even better! It‘s a shame that there are hardly any F Types with sticks out there… Sick comparison!
Both are great. Former XKR driver, now 911 1999 Fisker exhaust and Lexus GSF. F Types sounds cannot be beat, maybe equaled although can’t say by what….

@@teecchnoboy good selection. Presume you are U.K. based. I would go with F-Type but that’s because I prefer character over anything. 90% of people I feel would choose the M4. My F-Type got stolen the other day... These cars attract way too much attention. I just hope you have a proper immobilizer. And I'm not talking about Ghost, because that has been cracked by thieves. Also plenty of footage of thieves using an angle grinder to cut off wheel locks including the Disk Lock which is supposed to be "undefeatable". You need very comprehensive security to produce a high enough deterrent. It's only a matter of time before a car theft gang gets their eyes on your Jag. Just FYI.
Thanks for the positive note 😬 Sorry to hear about your Jag, hope it gets found quickly and those responsible held accountable. I do what I can to keep the Jag safe 👊
@@tootalltodrive The police has been extremely unhelpful so far. Insurance did pay out, but of course at the expense of higher premiums next year... Stay safe and def do due diligence on security. @@fgcpeak9591 I have had cars stolen in the past. My advice, if they want to steal your car. They will. Don’t make it too difficult or else you will likely bring damage to yourself. It’s just a car, it’s got insurance.
Fuel economy depends on driving of course , my v6 s on a motorway when not in a hurry or just want to relax gets 39 mpg around 60 mph ish , but these cars are about winding bends and open roads and fuel economy who cares 😁
As beautiful and sporty as these are I can't wrap my head around why Jaguar used those ugly floating brake calipers. Why put the music right over the final soundclip? 🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️
Sounds like mechanical noise....heard plenty of Jag V8s & they don't sound like that. To be fair microphones can pick up certain frequencies but it still sounds off
I have had the 3.0L and now have this 5.0l in my f-pace SVR. It sounds 100% normal. The ticking noise is the high pressure fuel pump. Totally normal sounding.
Not even a contest, v6 wins that easy, loud isnt always better, it's just loud, the v6 has more character and an actual tone or identity instead of just being loud.
Still a darn good sounding V6!
Both sound great, but I prefer the V6's more baritone sound.
I do too, not that I am biased at all
Seriously considering the 6 cylinder, but was always wondering if the 6 was enough, but this video cleared it up for me. Yes the 6 is plenty!
Glad it helped 👊

One of the best sounding V6s especially considering the price difference between the V8 and V6 it’s a great value car

The Lexus LFA with the F1 exhaust 😮👌
I liked comfort orange, but the loud was a bit over the top. The black one with loud was quite nice though.
